NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/04/23

We have a monster Saturday night slate with some really exciting matchups. So, for tonight, I am going to do something a little different. I will provide you with what I believe are the top-value plays at each position. This will not only enable you to load up on the stacks you prefer but also help you climb up the leaderboard.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Mackenzie Blackwood - DK $7.0K || FD $6.6K

Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins

I am aware that the Sharks conceded ten goals in the last game against the Vancouver Canucks and now they are up against the Penguins who might score another ten goals tonight. However, everyone and their Grandma will be stacking the Pens tonight, but it is important to note that Blackwood is a much better goaltender than Kakhonen. I am not suggesting that you should rely entirely on Blackwood but having him on at least one line could be a good decision. If he can manage to keep the Penguins to four goals or less and get the save bonus, it will be a great payoff. It is also important to remember that the Sharks are still an NHL team, even though they have had a bad season so far. I would expect the Sharks to come out hard tonight to try and rebound from that embarrassment last game.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Sorokin (DK $ 7.8DK || FD 8.2K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Yanni Gourde - DK $3.1K || FD $4.6K

Opponent - Calgary Flames

The Flames have been getting ECHL level goaltending this year so Mr. Gourde who has been performing well by scoring 1 goal and 1 assist and taking 10 shots in his last two games. He has also been given some power play time. When looking for value plays, it is important to find players who are not afraid to shoot and Gourde fits that description perfectly at his current price point. If he can get 3 or 4 shots and perhaps score a goal or provide an assist, he could be an excellent pick for your lineup. He is likely to go unnoticed by most players, which could help you climb up the leaderboard if you play in the late slate. Additionally, if you load up on Pittsburgh players, Gourde could be a great addition to your lineup.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Kuznetsov (DK $4.6K || FD $4.3K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Sony Milano - DK $2.6K || FD $3.5K

Opponent - Columbus Blue Jackets

Based on his price tag, Milano offers good value as a second-line winger. He will be playing against Columbus, a team that ranks in the bottom ten of the NHL when it comes to shots allowed, scoring chances allowed, and high-danger chances allowed on home ice. In five of the Jackets' seven home games so far, they have allowed at least 20 scoring chances and 10 high-danger chances. Therefore, Milano doesn't have to do much to pay off his price tag. If he can score a goal, it will be a bonus, and we can use the savings to spend up for other players in our lineup, a 4x return on Milano's price tonight will do just fine.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Bjorkstrand (DK $4.0K || FD $4.6K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Gustav Forsling- DK $3.8K || FD $4.0K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

One thing I have learned to do well over the last few years is find mispriced players on DK, and let me tell you Forsling is probably about 1K too cheap for his role and matchup tonight against a Hawks team that is going to have a lot of growing pains this season with all the kids they have on the team, in his last two road games he has 5 shots and 5 blocks and that was against two very good teams so far this season in the Wings and Bruins, the Hawks, on the other hand, have given up the 6th most shots to defencemen this season(See image below) so the Hawks setup perfectly for Forsling who plays the left side.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Hamonic (DK $3.4K || FD $3.8K)
  • Gustafsson (DK $3.7K || FD $4.2K)
