NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 04/03/24

"Tonight, we have a three-game slate, which is expected to feature plenty of goals in all three games. While there are some obvious plays, let's try to find some under-the-radar options that can help you win tonight."

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Wyatt Johnston- DK $5.6K || FD $7.6K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

Johnston's line is currently considered the best third line in hockey. Over the last eight home games, they've been scoring at an incredible rate of 3.58 goals per 60 minutes and generating an impressive 15.06 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes. Based on his recent performance, Johnston is a must-play tonight, with 10 goals, 6 assists, and 46 shots in his last 13 games.

I don't believe the Oilers are a cup contender because of their weak bottom six and poor defense beyond Bouchard and Ekholm.  Johnston's line should be able to avoid the McDavid line for most of the night, and they have a clear advantage over the Oilers' bottom six!

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • J.T Miller (DK $5.2K || FD $8.5K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Artemi Panarin- DK $6.9K || FD $7.7K

Opponent - New Jersey Devils

The New York Rangers have a strong second line, which is arguably the best in hockey, especially on their home ice. They have been averaging 3.25 goals per 60 minutes and an impressive 13.28 high-danger chances per 60 minutes this season. The line is led by Panarin, who is also known as "The Breadman," and has been playing at an exceptional level this season. In his last 13 games, he has scored 9 goals, made 15 assists, and taken 43 shots. Tonight, he will be playing against the New Jersey Devils who are on a back-to-back game and have slim chances of making it to the playoffs, especially after their recent loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Kevin Fiala (DK $5.6K || FD $7.5K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Miro Heiskanen - DK $5.3K || FD $6.4K

Opponent - Edmonton Oilers

It's no surprise that I have another Dallas Star to recommend. Heiskanen isn't tasked with matching up against the other team's top line - that responsibility falls to Lindell and Tanev. This means Heiskanen will have ample opportunities to face the rest of the Oilers' forward lines, which is what we want. Although he's only had 1 goal in his last 4 games, he's taken 11 shots and quarterbacks the top power-play unit. I really like Heiskanen's chances tonight, and you should seriously consider him for all of your lineups.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Matt Roy (DK $4.0K || FD $4.4K)
