NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 02/23/24
"Tonight, we have a three-game slate, which is expected to feature plenty of goals in all three games. While there are some obvious plays, let's try to find some under-the-radar options that can help you win tonight."

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
- Peter Mrazek DK $7.0K || FD $6.9K
Opponent - Winnipeg Jets
"The goalie position is, how do I say this, not looking good tonight. I wouldn't spend $8600 on Hellebuyck, who might not even face 25 shots. On the other hand, I think Mrazek is our best bet for the 35-save bonus tonight, especially against what should be a popular Jets team."

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Joel Eriksson Ek - DK $7.2K || FD $8.5K
Opponent -Edmonton Oilers
I'm unsure if Ek will be overlooked tonight but his price falls in an awkward range. People will either choose to spend more on Draisital or McDavid, or go for the cheaper options like Scheiffle or Jenner. In his last nine games, Ek has scored 8 goals, made 6 assists, and took 29 shots. Tonight, he's facing an Oilers team that won 16 games in a row but lost four out of their last eight games. Even in the games they won, they gave up at least three goals. In their last seven home games, they ranked poorly in XGA/60, SCA/60, and HDCA/60. This makes for a great matchup for Ek and his line. I'll be using him in all my lineups tonight.
Joel Eriksson Ek is on pace for 41 goals and 76 points this season.
He's also on pace for 304 shots, 185 hits, and 64 blocks. A multi-cat STUD.
He was one of my favorite sleepers going into this season. 130+ ADP but now a top 15 player.

Nino Niederreiter- DK $3.9K || FD $4.9K
Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks
Niederreiter is a member of the Winnipeg Jets' third line, which is considered to be very good. Today, the Jets are playing against the Chicago Blackhawks, who are known to have weak depth lines. As there are only three games being played today, I typically look for players who may not be very popular but have the potential to earn three or four times their value in favourable matchups. Nino fits all of these criteria for me today, making him an excellent one-off pick. Alternatively, he can be paired with Pionk for the power play correlation..

Adam Boqvist - DK $6.5K || FD $7.0K
Opponent - Buffalo Sabres
"I think we should consider giving Boqvist a chance, as he is a top-pairing offensive-minded defenceman who also anchors the top power-play unit, and he is available for under 4K. Boqvist has scored goals in two of his last three games, and the Sabres are among the bottom ten in the NHL in goals allowed to defencemen. I believe that the Jackets will be overlooked tonight, as they are coming off their western road swing. Therefore, I am willing to take a shot with Boqvist. At his price, we don't need a lot to return value, but if he does happen to score, then we are playing with house money."
