DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/31/22): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Julius Randle - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Betting, Prop Picks

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on January 31, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have an eight-game late on tap Monday night, and although there are only two games between teams with winning records, oddsmakers are projecting a competitive ledger overall if points spreads are more or less accurate.

From a DFS perspective, we could certainly benefit from the fact some of the very worst defensive teams in the league, such as the Rockets and Kings, are in action. Projected totals also portend a solid chance for some big individual performances, as half of the eight contests have projected totals of 219 points or higher as of Monday morning.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/31/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Darius Garland - PG/SG, CLE vs. NOP ($9,100 DK; $8,100 FD)

Garland is in the midst a particularly impressive stretch of play, having averaged 20.4 points, 10.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds over his last 13 games. The talented point guard also enters Monday's matchup with a hot hand, as he's shot 53.3 percent overall and from three-point range in his last pair of contests. He's averaging 40.1 DK points per home contest as well, and he faces a Pelicans squad that's allowed the third-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (26.7) for the season, along with over 50 fantasy points on either site to the position in the last 15 games. New Orleans is also tied for the fourth-most assists per contest given up in the last three games (28.7), which could certainly work in Garland's favor.

Anfernee Simons - PG/SG, POR at OKC ($7,000 DK; $6,900 FD)

Simons has been a revelation during his extended starting stint in place of Damian Lillard (abdominal), averaging a Dame-like 24.1 points, 7.0 assists, and 2.8 rebounds during his current 14-game run with the first unit while shooting 48.0 percent, including 44.8 percent from behind the arc. The fourth-year guard checks into Monday's favorable matchup with five 20-point-plus efforts in the last six games, and he won't have to worry about defending Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who'll be out with an ankle injury. What's more, OKC has already been struggling against point guards with SGA available, as the Thunder has allowed 54.6 DK/53.0 FD points per game to the position in the last 15 contests.

Bogdan Bogdanovic - SG, ATL vs. TOR ($4,700 DK; $6,000 FD)

Bogdanovic draws a solid matchup in what could be one of the most competitive games of the night, making him an intriguing tournament play in particular. The long-range marksman has scored over 30 fantasy points on either site in two of the last three games, and although an injury-riddled season has contributed to some shooting struggles, he could have the right matchup in front of him Monday. The Raptors have allowed over 42 fantasy points per game to shooting guards in the last seven contests, along with the eighth-highest offensive efficiency to the position on the season (22.2 percent). Additionally, Toronto is conceding the sixth-highest three-point percentage in the league (35.8), which certainly could bode well for Bogdanovic if he gets the hot hand.

Also consider: Stephen Curry ($11,000; $9,300)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Julius Randle - PF, NYK vs. SAC ($9,000 DK, $8,300 FD)

Randle has been a bit inconsistent with his scoring recently, but Monday's matchup could well set him on the right track. The Kings check in allowing an NBA-high 117.6 points per road contest, along with the third-most rebounds (56.1) and fifth-most assists allowed per away game as well (25.7). Randle is capable of exploiting all three weaknesses, averaging 19.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per home contest. Sacramento has also been especially vulnerable to power forwards of late, yielding over 46 fantasy points per game to the position on each site in the last 15.

Andrew Wiggins - SF, GSW at HOU ($6,600 DK; $6,000 FD)

Wiggins is coming off an especially impressive performance against the Nets on Saturday night where he scored 49.0 DK/51.6 FD points, and he was at 39.8/40 in the contest prior as well. The veteran wing could have a very good chance of continuing to churn out stellar numbers Monday, as the opposing Rockets are ranked last in the league in defensive rating and giving up 42 fantasy points per game on each site to small forwards for the season. Houston is also yielding elevated 46.8 percent shooting at home, and 38.6 percent three-point shooting over the last three games.

Luguentz Dort - SF/PF, OKC vs. POR ($6,000 DK; $5,000 FD)

Dort sports a 26.9 percent usage rate and is averaging 30.2 DK/28 FD points per 36 minutes with Gilgeous-Alexander unavailable this season. The versatile big man also has one 30-plus and one 40-plus fantasy-point tally in his last two games, and he'll get to do battle with a fatigued Portland squad playing its fifth game in seven nights Monday. The Blazers have been middle of the pack in terms of offensive efficiency allowed to power forwards as well, and Dort's well-rounded skill set allows him to typically make strong contributions even when his shot isn't at its peak.

Also consider: Jayson Tatum ($10,600; $9,800)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Pascal Siakam - TOR at ATL ($9,600 DK; $8,900 FD)

Siakam is a key cog of the Raptors' attack and comes into Monday's contest having just exploded for over 60 fantasy points against the Heat in his most recent contest. It's far from the only occasion Siakam has demonstrated elite upside this season, and he's averaging over 40 fantasy points per road contest as well. The Hawks sit right in the middle of the league in offensive efficiency allowed to centers (30.9 percent) and have given up over 53 fantasy points per game to the position in the last 15 contests, furthering Siakam's case.

Jarrett Allen -  CLE vs. NOP ($7,700 DK; $7,600 FD)

Allen has double-doubled in five of the last seven games and is averaging over 36 fantasy points per game on each site, giving him a very appealing floor for his current salaries. The big man has a solid matchup on tap Monday as well, especially if Jonas Valanciunas is forced to miss yet another game with his illness. New Orleans is already allowing the eighth-highest offensive efficiency to centers (32.3 percent), and the Pels have given up the second-most DK (65.8) and FD (64.9) points per contest to fives in the last seven games. New Orleans is also ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency allowed in the paint (57.4 percent), an area of the floor where Allen is scoring a career-high 78.2 percent of his points this season.

Also consider: Joel Embiid ($11,800; $11,400)
