DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/14/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Cristian Javier Shane McClanahan - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News, Starting Pitchers

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on August 14th, 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's Sunday, August 14th, and we are in for some exciting baseball action happening all afternoon today! Guardians - Blue Jays with Shane Bieber facing off against Kevin Gausman should be fun. Phillies - Mets with Zack Wheeler and Chris Bassitt on the mound should be great too. How does it all shake out DFS-wise?

This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 8/14/2022, Main Slate at 1:37 pm Eastern Time. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The main slate is 10 games on DraftKings and 11 games on FanDuel as the Coors field game is only on FanDuel's slate.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer and ask away!

Today's MLB Weather Outlook

There is rain in the forecast for Cubs-Reds. Outside of that, the games are looking fine.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cristian Javier- P, HOU vs. OAK ($8,700 DK, $10,600 FD)

Cristian Javier has the highest strikeout rate on the slate at 32.5%. He has the fourth-best SIERA on the slate, but his matchup is better than the other three pitchers ahead of him today. He is underpriced on DraftKings and more appropriately priced on FanDuel.

Braxton Garrett- P, MIA vs. ATL ($7,600 DK, $8,200 FD)

Garrett faces a tough opponent in the Atlanta Braves. That said, he has a 26% strikeout rate and the third-best SIERA on the slate at 3.22.

Lance Lynn- P, CHW vs. DET ($6,800 DK, $9,000 FD)

If looking for a punt play on DraftKings, Lynn is your guy. He has very similar peripheral stats to Chris Bassitt but is almost $3K less than him on DraftKings and facing a more favorable opponent. On FanDuel, he is priced up because the win is big there and he will have a strong chance of getting one.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Brian Anderson 3B, MIA vs. Bryce Elder ($3,000 DK, $2,300 FD)

Anderson has a .352 OBP and a .136 ISO this season, going against Bryce Elder who has a 5.75 SIERA and a 0% K-BB%. A solid high-floor play here against one of the worst pitchers on the slate.

Paul DeJong- SS, STL vs. Aaron Ashby ($3,900 DK, $2,900 FD)

DeJong has five home runs, three steals, 20 RBI, and 14 R in 134 plate appearances this season. He has a .429 OBP against left-handed pitchers this season.

Josh Harrison- 2B, CHW vs. Tyler Alexander ($3,300 DK, $2,100 FD)

Likely to lead off while the White Sox are implied for 4.7 runs today. There is not much upside here.

Albert Pujols- 1B, STL vs. Aaron Ashby ($2,000 DK, $2,300 FD)

Pujols has a .401 wOBA and .247 ISO against LHP this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

David Peralta- OF, TAM vs. Jordan Lyles ($3,000 DK, $2,700 FD)

Jordan Lyles has a 5.70 ERA on the road. Peralta will be batting towards the top of the order for Tampa Bay today if he is in the lineup.

JJ Bleday - OF, MIA vs. Bryce Elder ($2,000 DK, $2,300 FD)

JJ Bleday has some power and is likely to bat middle of the order against a bad pitcher.

Luis Robert- OF, CHW vs. Tyler Alexander ($5,100 DK, $3,600 FD)

Luis Robert has a .442 wOBA and 196 wRC+ against LHP this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are a few stacks I am really liking today outside of Coors, which is almost always an obvious play!

  • Saint Louis Cardinals - Ashby isn't a bad pitcher but this lineup is so righty heavy and they play well at home.
  • Chicago White Sox -Tyler Alexander has a 4.77 SIERA and White Sox have some good bats vs. LHP.
  • Tampa Bay Rays - Jordan Lyles has a 5.70 ERA on the road this season.
  • Chicago Cubs - There is a strong chance of rain, so I did not write any Cubs up, but they are a strong play against Justin Dunn and his 6.82 SIERA if the game is not called off.
  • Houston Astros - Expensive so I think that makes them sneaky.
