DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 3/3/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy EuroLeague basketball plays and sleepers for 3/3/21. His EuroLeague DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

The lighter part of Round 27 is a really light one. We only have two games to finish off the round, which is the lightest the EuroLeague has ever scheduled since expanding to 18 teams three years ago. We've had a COVID knock a few slates down to two games already this season, so it's nothing really new for us DFS players. This just means that we have to find different ways to get creative.

Both games look to be close, so I assume that game stacking will be a popular approach today. The way to get different is by not spending your full salary. Leaving money on the table is the best way to get a different lineup here. We can still play almost whatever we want without digging too deeply for value. Of course, that means the balanced build will also be the most common. If we can latch onto one or two good values and play all the stars, it can differentiate our build even more.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/3/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Pierria Henry, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($9,200)

Henry went nuts on Olympiacos the first time around racking up 49 DraftKings points. That was easily a season high for Henry. We do have to take that with a grain of salt though since it was early in the season. Luca Vildoza, who is playing nearly 30 minutes per game now, only played 17 minutes in that game and was a non-factor. That wont be the case today. I'm going to have a lot of Henry and Vildoza together because collectively they are in the best spot on the entire slate. I don't want to have to pick which one will go off since both will likely produce similar numbers.

Sergio Rodriguez, Milan ($8,000)

Kevin Punter had the better first game against Fenerbahce, but as we have seen lately, Milan's veteran guards are absorbing most of the minutes once again. Sergio is about the only one that is immune to the fluctuating rotations of late. Every Milan guard is a risk for this reason, but Rodriguez is less risky than the others. Malcolm Delaney has struggled of late, so the way I'm handling the Milan guards is this: Sergio in cash, Punter in GPP formats. Delaney if you have some spare cash lying around and want to be different. The value guards don't play nearly enough to warrant considering right now.

Vassilis Spanoulis, Piraeus ($5,300)

Spanoulis is a shadow of his former self at the age of 38, but as we have seen with Sergio Llull of Real Madrid, these guys still produce consistent numbers for a low price. Spanoulis doesn't really have a ceiling left. The gap between floor and ceiling is only about 8 points, but as we have seen with these smaller EuroLeague slates, the safer cash-type builds can do very well and even take down GPP's.

Also consider: Nando de Colo, Fenerbahce ($10,500); Shaq McKissic, Piraeus ($8,500); Lorenzo Brown, Fenerbahce ($6,800)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Jan Vesely, Fenerbahce ($9,900)

Vesely has been one of the most consistent players in the EuroLeague over the last six weeks or so. He hasn't been under 24 DraftKings points since January 15 and hasn't dropped below 20 since the second week of December. On a slate of uncertainty, one thing is certain: Vesely is going to be at or above 25 DraftKings points and will be more than 50% owned. I prefer to differentiate elsewhere, but if you are looking to separate yourself from the field, Vesely is the guy to fade and home he has a floor game in the low 20's. The odds are against you though.

Achille Polonara, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($9,400)

Baskonia has a stacked frontcourt, but somehow Polonara is the guy that has risen to the top of the heap. His minutes are now more secure than anyone else in this frontcourt. This is a great matchup for Polonara and company, but keep in mind that Sasha Vezenkov didn't play in the first meeting. Piraeus could put up more of a fight in this one. If you can't afford Polonara, I'm a big fan of Alec Peters too and he has a better floor. The ceiling is much lower though. Go Peters in cash and Achille in GPP.

Luigi Datome, Milan ($7,100)

The absence of Zach Leday and inconsistency of Shavon Shields has resulted in a lot more minutes for Datome of late. He has responded with 48 DraftKings points in 47 minutes over the last two rounds. That kind of per-minute output is almost unheard of on this side of the pond. The thing that really has me leaning towards Datome today is that this is his best matchup on paper of the last three rounds. Ride Datome until he cools off. He doesn't have the ceiling of Shields, but he is ultimately more reliable and almost $2,000 cheaper.

Also consider: Shavon Shields, Milan ($9,000); Kyle Hines, Milan ($8,600); Youssoupha Fall, Vitoria-Gasteiz ($6,500)
