DraftKings Plays Of The Week - Week 14 DFS Advice from a Milly Maker Winner

Mike Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Matt Hakim won the DraftKings NFL Millionaire Maker tournament in Week 3. Read his Week 14 DraftKings DFS picks and plays of the week. Get daily fantasy football advice from a Milly Maker winner.

Welcome to Week 14 of the NFL season! It has been one hell of a year for me in DFS. In Week 3, I turned $1,000 into $1,335,000 (see below for my winning lineup). It was the most incredible, exciting, and nerve-racking day of my life. Anybody who plays DFS dreams of that moment, and trust me, it is the absolute greatest feeling ever. Having played DFS for over five years now, I’ve seen it all. Last week I hit another $109,000 in the showdown between KC and DEN! My ultimate goal is to help you succeed and win as much money as possible, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

I usually create one main lineup and maybe a few others in the Milly Maker. I use a ton of different tools, listen to podcasts, read articles and follow football news daily. It is critically important to stay engaged throughout the week when preparing for Sunday. It’s too hard to win when you wake up on Sunday morning, having done minimal research, and just throw a lineup together. Remember, you are playing against professionals who are invested heavily into this, so you have to be on your A-game every single week. I’m going to tell you a little about my strategy and then we’ll dive into my studs and stacks of the week.

Important things you want to look for when finding your favorite players and stacks are: injuries, matchups, weather, and potential game flow, to name a few. Winning first place requires taking calculated risks but that doesn’t mean you need to avoid all the “chalk”. When you see my lineup below, you will notice my team was rather chalky that week besides Mike Williams, my difference maker. Our main goal when we create a lineup is to aim for the highest number of points possible, so don’t shy away from players you love just because a lot of other people love those players too. My biggest piece of advice is very simple: go with your gut. Now let’s get down to business.

DraftKings DFS Studs of the Week

RB Alvin Kamara, $7,900 – Returning from a multi-week injury, Alvin Kamara is in an absolute smash spot against the Jets this week. He was averaging over 22 opportunities per game when healthy, and Sean Payton has stated that Kamara should return to his normal workload right away. Mark Ingram and Ty Montgomery are both on the Covid-19 list this week, so Kamara will be running the show for the Saints. The Jets defense has given up 4.5 YPC this year and has allowed 21 rushing touchdowns, the most in the NFL. Taysom Hill was a turnover machine last week and if the Saints want to avoid an upset, they’ll need to feed their RB1. This is the first time all season that Kamara’s price has been under $8,000 on DraftKings, and it's only because he’s missed the last few games with an injury. His projected ownership this week is right around 20%, and I still think that’s pretty low.

RB Saquon Barkley, $6,000 – OK, I know what you’re thinking -- “The Giants offense is terrible, and I don’t trust any of their guys.” I don’t blame you, it’s been a rollercoaster ride for Saquon Barkley this season. After recovering from ACL surgery in the offseason, he started off pretty slow. Then, in Week 3 and Week 4 we saw the Saquon that everyone loves to watch. In Week 5, he stepped on Kadarius Toney’s foot and twisted his ankle, causing him to miss the next four games. Since then, he’s played in three games and has not done anything special. However, last week he ran for 55 yards on only 11 carries and had nine targets (six receptions for 19 yards). Now he faces a Chargers defense that ranks at the bottom of the NFL against the RB position, so it’s now or never for Saquon. I believe this week he finishes as a top five running back on DK.

WR Mike Williams, $6,000 – Shout out Mike Williams for the signed jersey he sent me this week. Keenan Allen has been been ruled out and that means tons of targets should be coming for Big Mike. He is expected to be the highest owned receiver on DK and for good reason. Not only is he affordable, but he has the upside to finish as the number one WR on the entire slate, especially with Allen out. The Giants aren’t terrible against the pass, but they aren’t exactly stout either, and they’ll be without CB Adoree Jackson. Bold prediction: Williams catches eight passes for 100+ yards and two TDs.

WR Mike Evans, $6,600 – The Bucs and Bills game will be the main focus for many this week. Evans is my favorite play for the Bucs with the absence of top CB Tredavious White. This game feels like it will be one of the highest scoring games of the year, and Evans is due for a monster performance. Last week it was Godwin going big, and I think they both can put up some huge numbers this week. I’ll take the savings and the upside of Evans this week.

TE Dawon Knox, $5,000 – Sticking with the potential shootout of the year, Knox is my favorite play at tight end this week. As I mentioned above, there will be tons of fantasy points raining down in Tampa on Sunday. Knox has sevent TDs this year and he missed a couple of games with injury. Stefon Diggs is also on my radar, but I’m not sure I’m willing to spend $8,100 for him. Knox is a nice way to get involved in this game without breaking your bank.
