DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (5/7/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on May 7, 2019. Daniel Benjamin provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We're back to another two game NBA slate. It's the largest slate we can have at this point in the NBA Playoffs, and there are two solid games. Both series are tied up, and these are two pivotal games for all four teams.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/7/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Find me @BalesSJustin on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Jamal Murray - PG/SG, vs POR ($6,500)

Murray has caught fire recently, scoring 34 points in each of his last two games. Overall, he was able to post 46.75 and 54.75 fantasy points in those games. The Portland Blazers have struggled against point guards this season, and that has been evident throughout this series. Nikola Jokic has been facilitating the ball more, as well, allowing Murray to function more as a scorer. He'll be returning home, where he has been a significantly more efficient scorer. He can be considered in all leagues for a surprisingly low price tag.

C.J. McCollum - PG/SG, at DEN ($7,000)

McCollum struggled in the first game of this series, but he has caught fire since then. Over his last three games, he has scored 36.5, 68.5, and 40.25 fantasy points. McCollum is also averaging 38.6 fantasy points per game against the Denver Nuggets. Similarly to Murray, McCollum has been focusing heavily on scoring, while adding peripheral stats. He's also a bit too cheap, and makes a strong option in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Jimmy Butler - SG/SF, at TOR ($7,800)

Luckily for the Philadelphia 76ers, Butler has taken over this series. After struggling in the first game, he's averaging 27.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.3 steals (54.2 fantasy points) in 39.7 minutes per game. Butler will continue to play a major role, but that may diminish a bit when Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons breakout. For now, this has been the Butler show, though, and he has easily been exceeding value. He makes a strong option in all leagues tonight.

Kawhi Leonard - SF/PF, vs PHI ($9,500)

Leonard is in the same position as Jimmy Butler, as he has taken over the series for the Toronto Raptors. In this series, he's averaging 38.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists (58.3 fantasy points) in 39.5 minutes per game. He's also averaging over 55 fantasy points per game against the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Leonard has looked unstoppable on the court, and he could potentially see 40+ minutes once again tonight. He makes a strong option in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Paul Millsap - PF/C, vs POR ($5,900)

Millsap comes with a low price tag because of his struggles late in the season, but he has been playing at an elite level in this series. Through four games against the Denver Nuggets, Millsap is averaging 17.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.8 blocks, and 1.5 steals (38.8 fantasy points) in 37.5 minutes per game. He has played 40+ minutes in each of his last two games, as well, scoring 41 and 45.25 fantasy points. That's unlikely to change tonight, and he makes a strong salary relief option.
