DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/15/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on April 15, 2019. Tom Vecchio provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have only two games on this slate, so that means the options are going to be limited at each position and we will see some price gaps between players. Looks like a slate for tournaments over cash games due to the potential overlap.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/15/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early.

Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses. If you have any questions or need to talk NBA during the downtime, feel free to find me on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

DraftKings DFS Guards

D'Angelo Russell - SG, BKN @ PHI (DK - $8,400)

Russell had a solid but not great game the other day against the 76ers, but we should always be looking towards him in GPPs due to a few reasons. He has a 32% usage rate this season while producing 1.30 fantasy points per minute, which are super strong numbers and his price honestly doesn't reflect that. He could be over $9K with those numbers so we get him at a "discount" today. We know that Philly is one of the better defensive teams in the league, but what's interesting for Russell is that he has attempted 103 field goals in the five games against them this season. Still brings plenty of pure scoring upside in this matchup.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG, LAC @ GS (DK - $5,500)

Gilgeous-Alexander played 34 minutes in the first game of the series, posting a very strong 32 DraftKings points in that time. We know that Patrick Beverley got ejected from the game, but there wasn't a whole lot of time let when that happened. He averages about 0.85 fantasy points per game for the season, which isn't amazing, but he also isn't expensive at all tonight, so you should be able to roster him with confidence knowing his minutes will be there.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Andre Iguodala - SF, GS vs LAC (DK - $4,000)

Iguodala always seems to get things going in the playoffs and he showed that in Game 1, posting 34 fantasy points at only 3.7K. Amazing point per dollar production from him should make him one of the better salary savers on this two-game slate. We won't see him play over 30 minutes, but 0.80 fantasy points per minute aren't too bad for a guy at his price point tonight.

Tobias Harris - PF, PHI vs BKN (DK - $6,200)

There is no doubt that Harris had a very tough Game 1 against the Nets, only posting 23 DraftKings points in 41 minutes. That...isn't good by any stretch of the imagination when he is over $6K. The minutes up at 41 are very interesting since he has the chance to rack up plenty of fantasy points in that time, it's really just a matter of doing so. The matchup isn't tough by any means since the Nets allowed 48 DraftKings points per game to power forwards this season, which was the eighth most in the league.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, PHI vs BKN (DK - $9,800)

Embiid only played 24 minutes in Game 1, which isn't a lot at all and brings up the question, is he truly healthy? That is very tough to say at this point in the season but the good news is that he posted a whopping 56 DraftKings points in that time. Over two fantasy points per minute is simply amazing but that shouldn't come as any surprise since he is up against the Nets who are dead last in the league versus centers allowing 62 DK points per game. Play Embiid, they need to win, he will drop at least 50 DK points again.
