DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/5/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on March 5, 2019. Justin Bales provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Most nights in the near future have a solid amount of games, including tonight. While six games isn't an ideal amount, it's strong enough for a Tuesday. There are plenty of options, and DraftKings still has been utilizing relatively loose pricing.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/5/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @BalesSJustin with questions or comments. Good luck everyone.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Ben Simmons - PG/SF, vs ORL ($8,400)

There are a plethora of high priced options, who are underpriced tonight, and it starts with Simmons. He has been playing well since the All Star Break, averaging 20.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.4 steals (49.5 fantasy points) in 37.6 minutes per game. He has also caught fire recently, scoring 66.25, 54.25, and 52.25 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He gets a great matchup against the Orlando Magic, who don't have anyone that will be able to stick with Simmons tonight. He can be considered in all leagues tonight, but is entirely too cheap for his upside.

Bojan Bogdanovic - SG/SF, vs CHI ($5,600)

Bogdanovic has taken on a new role in the offense after the injury to Victor Oladipo, but his price seemingly never adjusted to that. Over the last 10 days, he's averaging 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists (35.2 fantasy points) in 30.5 minutes per game. He has scored 30+ fantasy points in six of his last seven games, including a 53.25 fantasy point performance against the Minnesota Wolves. Bogdanovic gets a great matchup against the Chicago Bulls tonight, and he gains added value from being guard and forward eligible. He can be used in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Paul George - SF/PF, at MIN ($10,300)

George has been out for a few games, which has caused his price tag to drop. He isn't guaranteed to return tonight, but that looks somewhat likely at this point. Prior to his injury, he was playing at an elite level, and there's no reason for him to be this cheap. He's averaging a healthy 60.4 fantasy points per game over his last 10 games. He has also flashed near 90 fantasy point upside over that span. He gets a great matchup against the Minnesota Wolves, and George can be used in all leagues if he returns to action.

Lauri Markkanen - PF/C, at IND ($8,200)

Markkanen isn't the most consistent option on the slate, but he comes with tremendous upside for his price tag. He's averaging 26.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.0 steal (49.2 fantasy points) in 38.0 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He recently scored 61.75 fantasy points against the Atlanta Hawks, but that was aided by four overtimes. Still, he's averaging 42.9 fantasy points in 36.6 minutes per game against the Indiana Pacers this season, and his role is only growing in the offense. Markkanen makes an outstanding option for his price tag on this slate.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Jonas Valanciunas - C, vs POR ($6,700)

Karl-Anthony Towns is an elite option here, but I wanted to give you someone a bit cheaper. Valanciunas has seen more consistent minutes with the Memphis Grizzlies, and he has been producing at a higher level. He's averaging 18.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.6 blocks (39.4 fantasy points) in 28.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has also scored 40+ fantasy points in four of his last five games, but his price tag doesn't represent that. Valanciunas may be best suited for tournaments, but he can be considered in all leagues.
