DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/20/21): NBA DFS Lineups

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on March 20, 2021. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The NBA takes a bit of a backseat with 16 more NCAA games going on tonight. There are only four games on the main NBA slate tonight with the Hawks and Lakers playing a matinee in L.A. If you're going to mess around with that showdown, I would say build around LeBron and Montrezl Harrell. For the Atlanta side, I like the price on Bogdan Bogdanovich. Clint Capela is solid if you can find the cap room.

On to the main slate. Four games doesn't give us many spaces to differentiate and value can be hard to come by. However, with the Warriors and Memphis playing again and both Sacramento and the Spurs also playing the tail end of a back-to-back, someone is bound to sit out. I'm guessing DeMar DeRozan will be the first. The status of Stephen Curry will dominate the NBA news cycle though. He's classified as doubtful again, but so was Kelly Oubre 24 hours ago. Things can change quickly.

This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 3/20/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Ben Simmons - PG/SF, vs. Sacramento ($9,100)

I usually adhere to a strict no Ben Simmons policy, but he's playing the damn Kings and Embiid is out. And it's a four game slate. There isn't one single soul on that team that can stop him from getting rebounds and assists at will. The only thing that will stop Simmons from scoring is his below-average jump shot. No matter how much I try and ignore this, this is a great spot for Simmons. His ceiling is as high as anyone on the slate.

Buddy Hield - SG/SF, at Philadelphia ($6,600)

For all the things Philly does right, they still don't defend the perimeter well. Hield racked up 40.5 DraftKings points on them the first time around. The return of Tyrese Haliburton hasn't hurt Hield's production any. The Kings will be an exciting team at some point, but right now they are just a young team that can't play defense. Philly should roll them, but that doesn't mean Hield and a couple of his friends can't destroy value along the way.

Donte Divincenzo - PG/SG, vs. San Antonio ($5,800)

DiVincenzo still feels cheap for the numbers that he's been putting up. He has at least 6x value in each of the last three games. He went through a bit of a rough patch before the break, but since then, DiVincenzo has 137.5 DraftKings points in the four games since. That's right about 6x value on average. The Spurs are the Spurs of old. They're not a particularly solid defensive unit. DiVincenzo puts up a lot of crooked numbers in a lot of different categories. It's not just scoring. That makes him a pretty safe play on any given night.

Bonus Guards: De'Aaron Fox ($9,500), Jrue Holiday ($6,500), Jordan Poole ($5,100)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF/C vs. San Antonio ($11,100)

We are getting to the point that Giannis getting his customary 55-60 DraftKings points that it's almost disappointing at this price. He's on here because if this game stays close, Giannis is going for 70. Simmons has a high ceiling, sure, but even in his best game, he can't touch Giannis. There's enough value floating around that you can fit both in your lineups, but I have a feeling that's going to be a popular way to go. A good way to separate yourself tonight might be to build a balanced lineup.

Andrew Wiggins - SG/SF, at Memphis ($6,300)

Wiggins put up a career game against this same Memphis team last night with Curry out. He racked up 66 DraftKings points, which is over 10x value! That likely wont happen again for a variety of reasons, but we are in a situation where Wiggins' floor is probably 6x. I'm locking him in every lineup tonight. I don't expect Kelly Oubre to be as ineffective, but Wiggins is still the guy to chase here. The ceiling is higher.

Marcus Morris - SF-PF, vs. Charlotte ($4,800)

Morris has racked up 56.75 DraftKings points over the last two games since the Clippers moved him into the starting lineup. Whether they will keep him there or not hasn't been determined. Us DFS players would rather see Morris in there, who isn't afraid to keep chucking up shots and getting involved in the offense. Nicolas Batum is one of those guys that is far more valuable to the actual team than to DFS. Still, Morris should play enough minutes even if he comes off the bench to pay off this price against Charlotte.

Bonus Forwards: Kawhi Leonard ($9,200), Tobias Harris ($8,800), Danny Green ($4,700)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Draymond Green - PF/C, at Memphis ($7,400)

Center isn't very strong on this slate, but one of the big advantages on DraftKings is that Giannis is eligible at center. Still, Draymond is one of my favorite DFS players because he doesn't rely on points. He only had two real points last night, but racked up 40.75 DraftKings points. Draymond thrives on his outstanding rebounding ability and his superior passing skills to make the team better. Green's numbers are usually better with Curry out because he acts as de-facto point guard at times. Green has at least 40 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. Ride him while he's hot!

Richaun Holmes - PF-C, at Philadelphia ($7,300)

Great things happen when Holmes doesn't foul out. He put up 53.75 DraftKings points in 32 minutes last night in a big win over Boston. With Embiid out, Holmes should have his way with the Philadelphia backups as well. Holmes is still a bit of an all-or-nothing proposition, but he has topped 50 DraftKings points twice in the last three games. His usage and minutes with Bagley out have spiked. This is the new normal for Holmes. Thankfully, the price hasn't fully adjusted yet.

Dwight Howard - C, vs. Sacramento ($6,000)

You game log watchers wont be overly impressed with Howard's 28.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Kings. Let me tell you why it is: He did it in just 13 minutes! 13! Howard has played 58 minutes over the last two games and put up a strong 69.25 DraftKings points. If he plays 30 minutes against the Kings, he might hit that total in one game tonight. The sky is the limit for Dwight. A turn-back-the-clock game is incoming.

Bonus Centers: Jakob Poeltl ($6,300), Serge Ibaka ($5,300) or Ivica Zubac ($5,100), Kevon Looney ($3,500)
