DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/14/19): NBA DFS Lineups

We've got six games in the NBA on Thursday night, a number that's higher than we're often used to on Thursdays. The slate is full of some games that might have looked better on a paper when the schedules came out -- Minnesota against Utah, the Lakers visiting the Raptors, the reeling Mavericks taking on the Nuggets -- but that doesn't mean there aren't some interesting games to watch. Kings/Celtics should be especially fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/14/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip.

DraftKings DFS Guards

D.J. Augustin - PG, vs CLE ($4,400)

Cleveland allows the second-most DraftKings points to opposing point guards, and Augustin is averaging 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game since the All-Star break while shooting an outstanding 45.9 percent from deep. Augustin might not be an exciting name, but he's playing solid basketball and I really like the matchup with the Cavaliers. Ben Simmons just missed recording a triple-double against them earlier in the week, and opposing point guards average more points per game against Cleveland than against any other team.

Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG, vs MIN ($8,300)

After slumping earlier in the year, Mitchell has rounded into shape for the Jazz and he's had four 30-point games since the All-Star break. In those nine games, Mitchell is scoring an average of 29.9 points per game to go along with 5.1 assists and 4.9 boards, and he's hitting 3.2 threes per game. Minnesota sports one of the weakest defenses against opposing shooting guards in terms of DraftKings points allowed, and Mitchell looks like a good play as one of your bigger money guys on Thursday night.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Bojan Bogdanovic - SG/SF, vs OKC ($6,200)

Bogdanovic has been on fire since the All-Star break, averaging 23.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and a steal across 10 games. He's hitting over half of his total shots, over 40 percent of his threes, and adding in 2.1 assists per night as well. It's been a good stretch. He also gets a Thunder defense that'll be on the second end of a back-t0-back and should be tired after a hotly contested game against the Nets.

Thaddeus Young - SF/PF, vs OKC ($6,000)

The Thunder allow the ninth-most DraftKings points to opposing power forwards and Young has been playing some good basketball. Since the start of February, Young's averaging 12 points and 6.8 rebounds with 1.9 steals and 3.9 assists. He's hitting one three per game. His ability to contribute all over the floor for the Pacers has been huge in keeping them afloat after the loss of Victor Oladipo.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Dwight Powell - C, at DEN ($6,100)

Powell has finished with double-digit scoring totals in nine of the past 10 games, and over that stretch he's averaging 16.9 points per game to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. Powell's shooting 62.2 percent from the floor over that stretch and has been one of the NBA's most efficient players around the basket this season. Adding to Powell's upside is the fact that he ranks in the 85th percentile in scoring as the roller in pick-and-rolls, while the Nuggets rank 26th in the NBA at defending against that playtype. Powell should be set for a strong outing.
