DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/7/21): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on February 7, 2021. Eric Moody provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The NBA schedule has five games on the main slate for Sunday due to the Super Bowl. One matchup you'll want exposure to is between the Wizards and Hornets. This game has a point total of 233. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate.

First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays which is critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.

This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 2/7/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Bradley Beal - SG, WAS vs. CHA ($9,300)

Beal had his worst performance of the season last Friday. He only scored seven points, accumulated three rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 27 minutes against the Heat. The good news is that Beal is in a perfect spot to bounce back against a Hornets team that has allowed the fourth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game. He leads all players with a 37% Usage Rate. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

LaMelo Ball - PG, CHA vs. WAS ($7,800)

Ball went nuclear last Friday night against the Jazz. He scored 34 points, accumulated four rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and a block in 35 minutes. The absence Devonte' Graham provided the rookie an increased role.  Ball faces a Wizards team that has allowed the second-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to point guards.

Kemba Walker - PG, BOS vs. PHO ($6,800)

Walker had a season-high 24 points, four assists, one steal, and one block against the Clippers last Friday. He has been inconsistent since returning on January 17th but has come on strong especially over the last two games. Walker is a nice value with a relatively high ceiling if you are looking to save salary at the point guard or guard position.

Bonus Guards: De'Aaron Fox ($8,700), Devin Booker ($7,400), Terry Rozier ($5,600), and T.J. McConnell ($5,500)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Kawhi Leonard - SF, LAC vs SAC ($9,100)

Leonard scored 28 points, accumulated 11 rebounds, and five assists last Friday against the Celtics. This was his third double-double of the season. Leonard has the fourth-highest Usage Rate (30%) among small forwards and the highest Player Efficiency Rating (31.6). This metric sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Leonard has the highest ceiling of any small forward on the slate.

Gordon Hayward - SF/PF, CHA vs WAS ($8,000)

Gordon Hayward scored 25 points to go along with 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 37 minutes against the Jazz last Friday. He's averaged 38.3 minutes, 23.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, five assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game over his last four. Hayward faces a Wizards team that has allowed the sixth-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to small forwards this season.

RJ Barrett - SF, NY vs MIA ($6,300)

Barrett had 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists against the Blazers last night. He's an excellent value considering Barrett's averaged 33.6 minutes, 19.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.8 steals per game over his last five. He faces a Miami team that has allowed the seventh-most DraftKings fantasy points per game to small forwards this season.

Bonus Forwards: Julius Randle ($9,200), Buddy Hield ($7,000), and Harrison Barnes ($6,600)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Domantas Sabonis - PF/C, IND vs UTA ($8,300)

Sabonis recorded a career-high 33 points to go with 12 rebounds and six assists in 31 minutes against the Bucks last Wednesday. He followed that up with eight points, six rebounds, five assists, and a block last Friday. It was an off night for Sabonis. This season he has the sixth-highest Usage Rate (25%) among centers and the tenth highest Player Efficiency Rating (24.4). Sabonis has the highest ceiling of any center on the slate. He's in a great position to bounce back against the Jazz.

Deandre Ayton - C, PHO vs BOS ($6,800)

Ayton has averaged 33.7 minutes, 15 points, 14.2 rebounds, two assists, 0.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game over his last nine. He ranks 16th in Usage Rate among centers. Ayton is a nice value against a Celtics team that has allowed the 12th most DraftKings fantasy points per game to centers.

Bonus Centers: Rudy Gobert ($7,300) and Cody Zeller ($6,000)
