DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/5/19): NBA DFS Lineups

We have another odd week in the NBA. We only had a six game slate on Monday, which is now being followed by a larger eight game slate on Tuesday. Generally, we have three or four game slates on Tuesday, so this opens the door for basically any type of lineup construction we want.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/5/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @BalesSJustin with questions or comments. Good luck everyone.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Alec Burks - PG/SG, vs BOS ($5,100)

Burks has seen a major role for the Cleveland Cavaliers recently, and that's going to continue with Rodney Hood now in Portland. Over the last 10 days, he's averaging 12.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists (28.9 fantasy points) in 32.5 minutes per game. He has also scored 28+ fantasy points in each of his last five games, but his price tag doesn't represent that. Burks gets a tough matchup on paper against the Boston Celtics, but he's averaging 35.1 fantasy points in only 25.6 minutes per game against them. He's a player that can be considered in all leagues.

Reggie Jackson - PG/SG, at NY ($5,500)

Jackson is coming off of a down game because of a blowout in the first half. Prior to that game, he was averaging 20.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.0 steal (39.8 fantasy points) in 35.6 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He had also scored 40+ fantasy points in three consecutive games. He gets a great matchup against the New York Knicks, who have new players trying to gel with their current rotation. Jackson should return to big minutes tonight, and he makes a great option at a low price tag.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Kawhi Leonard - SF/PF, at PHI ($9,300)

Leonard is a player that has cooled off a bit recently, as he's averaging only 24.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals (42 fantasy points) in 33.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He is expected to see an increase in usage rating tonight, as Kyle Lowry is currently doubtful for this game. Leonard has also owned the Philadelphia 76ers this season, as he's averaging 58.5 fantasy points in 34.3 minutes per game against Philly thus far. He isn't necessarily the safest option on the slate, but he can be considered in all leagues for his price tag if he fits.

Al Horford - PF/C, at CLE ($6,600)

Horford has been a man on a mission since Boston removed his minute's restriction. Over the last 10 days, he has needed only 29.1 minutes to average 16.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals (41.6 fantasy points) per game. He has played 29+ minutes in six of his last nine games, and he has flashed 50 fantasy point upside in those contests. Horford still comes with a surprisingly low price tag, and his matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers is nothing to shy away from. He's a great option in all leagues on this slate.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, vs TOR ($10,500)

Embiid is one of the most mispriced players on the slate. He has been on fire recently, scoring 60+ fantasy points in four of his last five games. He also owns 50+ fantasy points in nine of his last contests, missing the 50 point mark by 1.5 fantasy points against the New York Knicks. Embiid gets a great matchup against the Toronto Raptors, who don't have anyone that is going to be able to guard him. Surprisingly, he's only averaging 45.7 fantasy points in 33.1 minutes per game against Toronto this season, but I expect him to find significantly more success tonight.
