DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/25/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on February 25th, 2019. Tom Vecchio provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have an 11-game slate to kick off our NBA week and there are some great options at every position. You can go stars and scrubs build, you can go balanced tonight, there are soo many options across the board it should be a fun night to build lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/25/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @DFS_Tom with questions or comments. Good luck everyone.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Chris Paul - PG, HOU vs ATL (DK - $8,300)

With the news that James Harden might be out for this game, we have to consider Paul as a top option if that comes to fruition. When Harden is off the court this season, Paul has a 29.8% usage rate, while producing 1.51 fantasy points per minute this season, which is a 5.7% increase and a 0.33 increase respectively. Tonight, he is up against the Hawks who are 19th in defensive efficiency against points guards this season, making this an ideal matchup. Pau will likely be very popular tonight in what should be a higher scoring game, but we don't have an over-under as of now.

C.J. McCollum - SG, POR @ CLE (DK - $6,400)

McCollum always has GPP upside due to his ability to hit the three ball, which he has attempted six or more times in eight of his last 10 games. He is shooting the ball a ton recently and at his relatively affordable price, you are getting nice upside in this matchup since he is up against the Cavaliers, who are 19th in defensive efficiency against shooting guards this season. We have an over-under set at 222 and the Trail Blazers are favored by nine points, so this should push him out of cash game consideration and tournaments only.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Bogdan Bogdanovic - SF, SAC @ MIN (DK - $5,000)

Bogdanovic has posted 25 DraftKings points or more in six straight games and is in a spot to continue this strong trend since he has one of the matchups on the slate. He is up against the Timberwolves who are allowing 41 DraftKings points per game to small forwards this season, which is 20th in the league. He has played the Timberwolves twice this season and posted an average of over one fantasy point per minute. This makes him a great point per dollar player since he is only $5K tonight and should be in an up-tempo game. We don't have an over-under set in this game due to Towns injury issue, but it should be in the 220's.

Nikola Mirotic - PF, MIL @ CHI (DK - $5,400)

Mirotic is also on the cheaper side of things tonight and with Giannis Antetokounmpo being listed as questionable for this game, he could see some nice usage. Mirotic hasn't been with Milwaukee too long, so the sample size on him is small, but when Giannis is off the court, Mirotic has a 22.9% usage rate while producing 1.54 fantasy points per minute. That production might not be sustainable in the long run, but for one game against the Bulls who are allowing 47 DraftKings points per game to power forwards this season.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Jonas Valanciunas - C, MEM vs LAL (DK - $6,400)

Valanciunas is coming off a monster game where he was able to post 45 points in just 30 minutes, which isn't out of the question tonight. Despite the fact, the Grizzlies are in tank mode, he is playing solid minutes and has a super favorable matchup tonight against the Lakers, who are 24 in defensive efficiency against centers this season. Also just from the eye test, you can tell the Lakers are struggling on defense right now, so this is a solid spot to attack. In his 73 minutes with this team, he has a 32.6% usage rate and producing 1.51 fantasy points per minute.
