DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/20/18): NBA DFS Lineups

We have a seven game NBA slate, which is a good size for a Saturday and there are some interesting options across the board. There are a number of injuries going around, so this should open up some value plays once we get the starting lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/20/18. I play both cash and GPP, so I will be looking for both players who have consistency, along with value plays that have upside from a favorable match up, or other factors.

If you have any questions or comments, let me know @DFS_Tom on Twitter. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. Let's get to it.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Damian Lillard - PG, POR vs DAL (DK - $8,500)

Lillard is at home against the Mavericks, who are giving up 47 DraftKings points per game, putting him in a great spot. He has scored 40 or more DraftKings points in five straight games, so he makes a great cash game option for tonight. Lillard has a 31% usage rate and is averaging 1.19 fantasy points per minute this season. Lillard had been snubbed yet again from the All-Star team, so expect a little more fight out of him, in an effort to prove how good he truly is.

Klay Thompson - SG, GS @ HOU (DK - $6,800)

This game has an over-under of 235 points, so you are going to want some exposure to it. Thompson is coming off a massive 50 DK point game, and is now up against the Rockets, who he has faced two times this season, putting up an average of 38 DraftKings points in those games. Great numbers from him, and with his ability to hit the three ball, he has great upside in tournaments. He has a 26% usage rate, and is averaging 0.98 fantasy points per minute, and seems a bit too cheap tonight.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Khris Middleton - SF, MIL @ PHI (DK - $7,900)

With Giannis Antetokounmpo already ruled out for this game, we are expecting a huge game from Middleton. When Antetokounmpo is off the court, Middleton has a 35.5% usage rate, which is 9.5% higher than his normal. Middleton is averaging 1.13 fantasy points per minute, making him a great cash game option. He is up against the 76ers who are giving up 39 DraftKings points per game to small forwards. This game has an over-under of 214 points, so plenty of points to go around, and a great spot for Middleton.

Jamychal Green - PF, MEM @ NO (DK - $5,500)

Green makes a nice mid-range play tonight, and has a great match up. He is up against the Pelicans, who are giving up 48 points per game, per game to power forwards. In the one time these teams played this season, Green put up 25 DraftKings points in just 19 minutes. That is great production per minute, and for his price, one of the best on the slate. He has a 19.6% usage rate, and is averaging 0.84 fantasy points per minute.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Derrick Favors, C, UTA vs LAC (DK - $5,900)

Favors is up against the Clippers who are giving up 51 DraftKings points per game to centers, where the Jazz should be playing up in pace. He has scored 28 or more DraftKings points in eight of his last 10 games, and averaging 0.93 fantasy points per minute. Even with Gobert being back for the Jazz, his playing time may be limited, which should present an opening for Favors. This puts him in a spot to succeed, and isn't too expensive.
