DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/10/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on December 10, 2019. Dale Johnson provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a lighter slate here on Tuesday with just five games to be played. With not as many stars out to shine in this slate, role players and lower priced players become much more valuable.

One game I wanted to highlight, and you will see a trend below, is the Charlotte Hornets against the Washington Wizards. Whenever you see two teams with bottom-five defenses, you can expect big offensive numbers.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/10/19.  You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor NBA injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Devonte' Graham - PG, CHA v. WAS ($8,400)

Despite facing the worst defense in the league Tuesday, Graham's price tag actually dropped due to a somewhat poor outing on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks. After being priced at $9,000, Graham shot just 4-for-17 which must have been a disappointment for any who drafted him during Sunday's slate. The Sophomore guard is prone to some poor shooting, but he has been able to salvage fantasy value with his other counting stats. As mentioned above, Graham has the pleasure of facing the Wizards at home who hold the worst defense in the league. This game holds the highest over/under in point total in Tuesday's slate and Graham will have plenty of opportunity to score big.

Ish Smith - PG, WAS @ CHA ($5,200)

Smith has been stellar while filling in for Isaiah Thomas (calf). In the three games with Thomas on sidelines, Smith started in all three and had averages of 16.0 points, 6.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers per game which is good for an even average of 30.0 DraftKings fantasy points per game. For what it is worth, Smith has also done this against three top-10 defenses in the league: the Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers. Thomas has already been ruled out for another week and Smith is facing the Charlotte Hornets, the third-worst defense in the league. The Wizards also hold a bottom-five defense, so this game should see a ton of offense. Smith makes for a great value play at his current price tag.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Davis Bertans - SF/PF, WAS @ CHA ($6,300)

At this point, you may have noticed a trend here in terms of recommended players. With Thomas Bryant (foot) going down, it has surprisingly been Bertans who stepped up tremendously. Bertans has put up at least 19 points, four three-pointers and 31 DraftKings fantasy points in five straight games. Just as everyone's expected, Bertans has been a top-40 fantasy player this season and shows no signs of slowing down with Bryant out and Washington management letting him have a green light (attempted at least 12 threes in four straight games). As mentioned above, Charlotte and Washington have bottom-five defenses and are projected the highest point total in Tuesday's slate. Charlotte also gives up 7.6 threes on 37.8 percent shooting to opposing forwards. The numbers point to another solid outing for Bertans.

Marcus Morris - SF/PF, NYK @ POR ($5,300)

At one point, Morris had a DraftKings price tag hovering just under $7,000. Morris then missed two games with a neck injury and his price dropped considerably. Morris played the past two games and even dropped 25 points in 33 minutes his last outing. Even with a coaching change, Morris kept his normal role which bodes well for his fantasy value, at least in the short-term. Morris will now travel Tuesday to face the Portland Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers and newly acquired Carmelo Anthony are giving up the most DraftKings fantasy points to opposing forwards. This should come at no surprise with Anthony getting older and already not known for his defense. It's evident his price should be higher and this should be taken advantage of this in Tuesday's slate.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Mitchell Robinson - C, NYK @ POR ($5,700)

Although it is one game, it seems as though new Knicks head coach Mike Miller will not be altering Robinson's bench role as much. In Miller's coaching debut, a one point loss to the Pacers, Robinson played down the stretch and his minutes (25) were higher than starter Taj Gibson (15) despite having a worse plus/minus box score (-8 compared to +1, respectively). Regardless of the coaching change, Robinson has been playing well with at least 31 DraftKings fantasy points in three straight games. Robinson is also top-15 in the league in offensive rebounds facing Portland who gives up the most second chance points in the league. Robinson's fouling issues is always troublesome, but some of the top centers in Tuesday's slate have tough matchups. Give Robinson a look as a high-risk, high-reward option.
