Navigating a six-game slate such as Monday's requires not just a reliance on the same stars, but a deeper dig into who could vastly exceed value in order to balance out the star power that a large number of lineups will boast.
Today, we take a peek at some players who won't break the bank, but should still fill up the box score. There can always be cases made for the James Harden's, Karl-Anthony Towns' and Anthony Davis' of the world Monday, although that won't be our focus here. Let's take a deeper dive at who owners could pair to go alongside their favored top-dollar star.

DraftKings DFS Guards
Jrue Holiday - PG/SG, NO v. HOU ($7,400)
With fellow backcourt mate Lonzo Ball set to miss Monday’s contest, the ball will be in the hands of Holiday more often than normal during what should be a mesmerizingly fast-paced contest against Houston. He likely will be tasked with checking James Harden or Russell Westbrook on the defensive end of the floor, but his usage should soar past his price tag. Not only does New Orleans enter play fifth in the league in scoring (117.1 points per game), but the Rockets are allowing a pile of points in their own right (118.7), the sixth worst mark entering Monday. Holiday has a safe floor based on his playing time alone, with a gaudy ceiling should his teammates cooperate.
D'Angelo Russell - PG/SG, GS v. UTA ($8,300)
The Warriors’ injury woes have been well documented to this point, although what has gone less discussed is the situation that D’Angelo Russell finds himself in for the remainder of the 2019-20 season. On a nightly basis, Russell, who came into his own offensively last year while with Brooklyn, will be tasked with carrying the load, providing him with almost unlimited upside. Due to the nature of his matchup Monday versus Utah, he presents a volatile play as the Jazz have allowed the fewest DK points per game to opposing shooting guards and the second fewest to point guards. With that being said, Russell took 37 shots in a game Friday; that is too immense of volume to avoid in GPP lineups.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Andrew Wiggins - SG/SF, MIN @ DET ($7,700)
Hunkering down further in the usage hole, we come across Wiggins, who has seized the opportunity of not playing alongside a true point guard and parlayed that into three consecutive 25-plus-point efforts, including a 40 spot that he logged Friday. Wiggins has now taken more than 20 shots in four consecutive games, and as long as Jeff Teague (illness) and Shabazz Napier (hamstring) remain out Monday versus Detroit, the sixth-year wing is likely in line for another massive workload. Having to share shots alongside Karl-Anthony Towns caps Wiggins’ ceiling somewhat, but he’s a fantastic cash game pick on this slate during his stretch of uber-efficiency.
Jaylen Brown - SG/SF, BOS v. DAL ($6,300)
The news that Gordon Hayward would be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a fractured hand threw the Celtics into a brief flux. But if Brown has any say in the matter, he’ll gladly fill the offensive void left by Hayward. Now past a three-game absence due to illness, Brown went for 30 points against the Spurs on Saturday. Boston will be playing its first game without Hayward on Monday, and while Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum both pose significant threats to Brown’s shot output, his ability to pack the stat line should leave him in line to outperform his price tag.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Jaren Jackson Jr. - PF/C, MEM @ SA ($5,300)
Superstars abound across the Monday slate, but the reality is that owners can’t squeeze them all into lineups. In order to pay up in some slots, others are reserved for finding lower end bargains, a category that Jackson fits splendidly against the Spurs. While San Antonio has smothered opposing centers early on in the season, Jackson will play the majority of his time at the stretch forward slot, which should allow him space to operate offensively. Brandon Clarke (back) missed the team’s previous outing, but even his return wouldn’t hamper Jackson drastically, whose price tag is making a slow climb back up after his bumpy three-game stretch that also included an absence due to injury. Having put up 17 shots on the second leg of a back-to-back Saturday indicates that Jackson is ready to roll moving forward and getting him at a price tag that he’s likely quick to outgrow is an opportunity too good to be missed.
