DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/1/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on November 1, 2019. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Last night with only three games, there was a bit of a struggle to find solid value plays. Luckily, you read my article and made the most of Frank Jackson's output and are looking for similar production tonight. To be completely honest, this whole Russell Westbrook and James Harden playing well together is driving me crazy when it comes to lineups. It's a hefty investment rostering both Westbrook and Harden, but if you don't it's like you are leaving points on the table.

Despite my initial reaction, James Harden will always get and rightfully deserves to be picked over Westbrook, nine times out of ten. Nothing against Westbrook, Harden just goes over the top with his production. There is going to be plenty of resistance to both Harden and Westbrook tonight, but eventually the offense will takeover and the box score will entirely depend on how well both Rockets' stars shoot. You don't have to play Westbrook, but I think you will deeply regret fading Harden for whatever reason that has you convinced.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Jordan Clarkson - PG/SF, @ IND ($3,800)

Can we just talk about Jordan Clarkson is listed as a point guard AND small forward. DraftKings won't even recognize him as the true shooting guard that he is. Shame.

Anyway, look at that price. There is no reason for it and I will not stand for this type of unwarranted abuse on hit-or-miss, shoot-first guards. Clarkson has been playing more than enough minutes and he has producing at a starters pace. Why his price is this low is beyond me, but hey, maybe someone at DraftKings is trying to pull a fast one. Regardless, I'm here for it and rostering Clarkson even against the Pacers.

Tim Hardaway Jr.  - SG/SF, vs. LAL ($3,600)

Outside of Danny Green and Avery Bradley, are there any truly solid defenders in the Lakers backcourt? Even with those two, we've seen Tim Hardaway Jr. go off against some of the better defenders in the league. If he is on, he's on, there's not much you can do about it. The problem tonight will be deciding who you are going to let beat you. If the Lakers allow Luka Doncic too much room, he is going to make them pay in his own right. If the Lakers try to suppress Doncic, he is going to get his teammates involved.

Either way, the Lakers defense will have their hands full as it is, so I can't imagine they put in the "extra work" to make sure they shut down Hardaway Jr. tonight. Los Angeles does rank in the top 10 against opposing shooting guards, but that doesn't really scare me and hopefully it scares off some semi-risky gamblers.

 

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Marcus Morris - SF/PF, @ BOS ($4,800)

Marcus Morris revenge game? Someone is getting punched.

...not until Morris secures his 15 points and eight rebounds though.

 

Joe Ingles - SF/PF, @ SAC ($4,600)

I initially had my sights set on Doug McDermott versus the Cavaliers, but there is a decent amount of risk involved when playing Joe Ingles versus the Kings seems like an automatic play. One is super-value, the other is a lower-mid tier option. I still feel confident in McDermott's ability to produce against the Cavaliers, but outside of the game early this season, Ingles tends to dismantle the Kings.

Over the past two seasons, only in his latest game versus Sacramento has Ingles not had a solid performance. I blame the blowout and other Jazz players "positive" efficiency, but tonight I expect a different result specifically from Ingles, specifically more assists.

 

DraftKings DFS Centers

Omari Spellman - PF/C, vs. SAS ($3,200)

It's easy to understand what you are getting when you play someone like Omari Spellman. His price is too good to be true, but you are taking a big risk in case he isn't able to hit his shots. He can space the floor and knock down threes if they are open and the Spurs rank in the bottom half against opposing centers.

It is not a sure-thing by any means, but with his price and Steph Curry out, the Warriors offense is going to look a little different tonight. Look for Spellman to knock down multiple threes. Not because he wants to, but because he HAS to.
