DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (10/29/18): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on October 29, 2018. Tom Vecchio's NBA DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a nine-game slate to kick off our NBA week and we should be in for a good one tonight. As the season goes on, we will get into more stats and usage rates, but with the season being so young, we don't have a ton to go on.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/29/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks and our Premium DFS Cheat Sheet. And don't forget to check out our brand new NBA DFS Matchup Ratings tool with daily player projections. As always, don't set your lineups to early and check player statuses prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @DFS_Tom with questions or comments. Good luck everyone.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Eric Bledsoe - PG, MIL vs TOR (DK - $6,100)

As of now, Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable for Monday's game due to a head injury. If the Bucks are going to be sitting him, we need to identify where the production will come, which puts Bledsoe in a great spot. When the Greek Freak is off the court, Bledsoe has a 21.1% usage rate an is averaging 1.33 fantasy points per minute this season, both of which are very strong considering his price. The matchup will be a tougher one against the Raptors, but the minutes will be there for him and he will see plenty of usage in the offense.

Deandre Bembry - SG, ATL @ PHI (DK - $4,100)

Bembry and the Hawks are seemingly going to be getting into high scoring games every time out since they simply cannot play any defense. This is great for NBA DFS since we should be able to target them frequently as there will be plenty of extra possessions in those games. Bembry has played 27 minutes or more in three of his last four games and has scored in double-digit real points in three of those games. He is reaching or exceeding 4x value in all of these games and with the over-under set at 229 points tonight, there will be plenty of extra chances for him to rack up points.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

LeBron James - SF, LAL @ MIN (DK - $11,400)

Lebron should always be in consideration when he is on the slate and he should be the player you pay up for tonight. He has 50 or more DraftKings points in five of his six games this season and has posted a double-double or triple-double in five of those games. Lebron's floor of points is extremely high due to his 32% usage rate and also has a massive ceiling with his 1.53 fantasy points per minute. He is the complete DFS package and with injuries to other super expensive players, he is the one you want to lock into your lineups tonight.

Paul Millsap - PF, DEN vs NO (DK - $5,500)

This game doesn't have an over-under set since Anthony Davis might not play, but we should be looking at a game on the higher end of scoring due to the two teams playing. Millsap has 25 or more DraftKings points in three of his five games this season and comes in averaging 0.97 fantasy points per minute. Those numbers might not blow you away, but he is up against the Pelicans, who are giving up 42 DraftKings points per game to power forwards this season, which should present plenty of upside for him to reach for.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Jusuf Nurkic - C, POR @ IND (DK - $6,400)

Nurkic is off to a great start this season and providing plenty of DFS value in nearly every single game. He is averaging 1.31 fantasy points per minute this season with a usage rate sitting at 26.6%, which are second and third highest on the Trail Blazers. He is looking to be one of the better point per dollar plays on the slate, even at his price tag, as he has posted two games of 40 DK points or higher in his last three outings. Love seeing that this game has an over-under set at 220 points with the spread being only three points. That means we should be in for a very close, high scoring game, which is ideal for DFS, low chance of a blowout.

Hassan Whiteside - C, MIA vs SAC (DK - $7,700)

Whiteside is a double-double machine and has posted three of such in his five games this season. He has a great matchup versus the Kings tonight, who are giving up 59 DraftKings points per game to centers this season. He always seems to come in too low owned in tournaments and should make a great pivot in a very tightly grouped price tier.
