DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (10/26/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on October 26, 2019. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

There are nine teams playing in the second half of their first back-to-back of the season. Three of those games are between two teams that played Friday night and there is plenty of value to be found within those contests. Specifically looking at some of those teams, names like Jeff Green and Nemanja Bjelica specifically stick out because of their value, but neither possess the upside that make them desirable candidates. Unfortunately, because of the circumstances surrounding that game, there are less consistencies than normal. There is going to be a player that fills the stat sheet and it will be someone you, and 97% of the DFS community, confidently faded.

It happens. It's a real stinker when it happens, but that's basketball. Regardless, there are still plenty of good matchups that you can set yourself up for success with. There are so many risky options tonight that playing it safe with strong mid-level options needs to be considered before deferring right to James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Both who are likely to repeat their first game performances against the Pelicans at home. A P.J. Tucker play is looking better every minute and so is my incredibly comfy bed.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/25/19.  You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks.  Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.  Find me in the NBA Chat Room if you have questions or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

 Bryn Forbes - PG/SG, vs WAS ($4,100)

No matter who I roster tonight, I will need value coming from more than one source. Bryn Forbes scored 20 points on twelve shots versus the Knicks and only costs a fraction of what he should compared to his upside. DraftKings price makers were not convinced to raise Forbes' price so ride the wave while you can. The Wizards point guard rotation is Ish Smith with 15 minutes of Chris Chiozza sprinkled in. They tend to run taller lineups but that doesn't scare me from playing Forbes against a team that is extremely weak against opposing point guards, not to mention the Spurs offense.

Matisse Thybulle - SG/SF, @ DET ($3,300)

I am going to keep the rest of these analysis' on the shorter end, but I still wanted the chance to mention Matisse Thybulle's upside. He may have not figured out scoring yet, but he knows how to shoot threes and play defense and that's all that matters. His defensive efforts are going to create more and more opportunities as he gets used to defending some of the leagues better players, but the exposure he has already received set the framework for this pick. I hate banking on blowouts, but I see the Pistons failing to keep up in the third quarter, allowing players like Thybulle and Furkan Korkmaz the chance to gets a few extra quality counting stats.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Joe Ingles - SG/SF, vs SAC ($5,100)

Going into his third game of the season should give him some confidence, but up until this point Joe Ingles has not shot the ball well despite decent all-around efforts elsewhere. That's being generous, but Ingles needs to find a rhythm before the Jazz start to fall into a losing trend. Mike Conley is struggling to find his shot and it doesn't help when the best shooter on the team isn't able to consistently do the one thing he's supposed to do. Ingles work better in situations where he can control the speed of the game. The Kings might not seem like the most common suspects to fall victim to Ingles style, but not only does he need to start producing, the Kings struggle to close out consistently despite their speed.

David Bertans - SF/PF, @ SAS ($3,500)

Quick announcement:

Davis Bertans revenge game.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Derrick Favors - PF/C, @ HOU ($5,700)

Anyone who has watched Derrick Favors really play and get quality runs can't say he's a bad player. He does a little bit of everything and while previous injuries have hindered his defensive capabilities, he still is able to perform on both ends of the court with some of the better power forwards in the league. That being said, I am impressed how well the Pelicans manage to work Favors into the offense. Lonzo Ball has never been a selfish player, but the way he forces Favors the ball early in games has me optimistic for their relationship in the first half of the season. Comparing the first game of the season versus the Raptors to last night's game against the Mavericks. Favors went from costing you a night in DFS to saving you. The Pelicans still don't have much choice, especially against the Rockets where they will need scoring anywhere they can get it.
