DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/30/19): NBA DFS Lineups

A very appealing eight-game slate tonight with value littered throughout. The lineups have a wide variety of who you want to set as your foundation, but just be warned that most DFS players will be targeting the Pelicans-Nuggets game. With the amount of injuries and value there, it's going to be hard to just pass over it without considering half the team. Jahlil Okafor has been playing well and deserves recognition for that, but it hasn't been leading to team success, so be wary when rostering him. It can go either way, although versus the Nuggets it his upside for rebounds and scoring is at a weekly high.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/30/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups to early and check player statuses prior to opening tip. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Ricky Rubio - PG, at POR ($6,000)

Ricky Rubio has been a consistent option this season despite him not being the most efficient scorer. Even against the Trail Blazers who have been playing well recently, I still like his overall upside. Rubio is still a hard player to guard and Portland doesn't have someone in the backcourt that can shutdown quicker guards. His price is modest given his upside and I think he will be the ideal mid-level target you are looking for.

Luka Doncic - PG/SF, at NY ($8,800)

This is moreorless the game we have been wanting to see in regards to Luka Doncic. Watching players show out in New York, specifically in Madison Square Garden is one of the best aspects in basketball. Not many players get the chance to play in the city and most try to make playing well a staple of their career. When you get to a certain level of talent, you are almost expected to put on a show when the lights are the brightest so I'll buy in on Doncic tonight. He has been living up to the moment in every way he can up to right now, so expect him to thrive tonight and really try to put his name even more on the international radar than it already is.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Darius Miller - SF/PF, vs. DEN ($3,800)

The riskiest play I am advising today and mainly because of injuries. Darius Miller has been eating up minutes for the Pelicans and rightly so. With gaps in their offense, New Orleans needs someone to stand on the perimeter and just pull shots. Miller has been doing that for the past few games, with gusto, and that should continue against the Nuggets. This will be a primarily offensive game that is going to fall in favor of whichever team is hitting more efficiently from deep. Pelicans will need Miller to take an excess of shots to space the offense, not to mention they will need as many points as they can just to keep up with Denver.

Domantas Sabonis - PF/C, at WAS ($6,300)

There are few players that started the season as strong as Domantas Sabonis, but to be fair, he has taken a somewhat steep of a drop off. Not in his effort or play style, but in relying on his teammates and overall production. If Sabonis had some ridiculous usage rate, his numbers would follow, there's little doubt about that. Tonight, that should be the case. The Wizards frontcourt is non-existent and the Pacers know that. They will feed the post so hopefully you roster the right players to directly benefit from that gameplan.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Paul Millsap - PF/C, at NO ($5,000)

Paul Millsap is coming off two of his worst games this season and he literally looked flustered on the court in both games. It didn't seem it would be a lingering problem, but he made common mistakes that would annoy any player. The ball slipping out of his hand, missing easy shots, just everyday things that Millsap seems to be struggling with. I think other players will see it as a reason to fade Millsap here on out, but I see it as a chance for him to make a miraculous rebound. Mike Malone is doing a great job of managing Millsap and while his minutes may look a bit fluky, I have complete confidence in Millsap, against the Pelicans who will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
