DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/25/20): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on January 25, 2020. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

There are four games on tonight's slate, so if you are looking to spend up, you have two options. LeBron James versus the 76ers or Karl-Anthony Towns facing off against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Anthony Davis is an option as well, but at his price of $9,300, you don't have the luxury of fading or playing him. If Davis plays tonight at that price, he needs to be on the roster. Philadelphia's defense is too talented for the Lakers not to over-utilize their two best players against.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/25/20. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

You can find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Tomas Satoransky - PG, @ CLE($4,600)

This is not same player that was posting massive stat lines earlier in the year. I mean, it is, but it is really isn't. Since Zach LaVine took over as the main playmaker and contributor in Chicago, it's been hard for anyone else to find production of their own. Satoransky is one of those players that requires teammates to hit their shots to have really solid DFS nights, and playing against Cleveland makes his limited upside reach as far as it can go. He doesn't need a bounce back game since the Bulls could use a rebound-week to help get things on track, Satoransky has still been dishing the ball like vintage Chris Paul and I expect him to break his projected tonight because of that reason.

Langston Galloway - SG, vs. BKN ($3,600)

Langston Galloway isn't returning to New York or any fun narrative like that, and for future reference, Galloway's stats are pretty evenly split when it comes to playing on the road compared to at home. The numbers support the idea that the Pistons struggle on the road where Galloway does not, although in a situation like tonight where he is playing at home, that might actually limit his upside if someone like Tony Snell or Bruce Brown Jr. is hitting their shot with decent efficiency. Galloway's minutes are not in jeopardy, and over the past week he has seen a bump in scoring, steals, and his minutes reached 34 for the first time in months. Galloway is on the upswing right now.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Luguentz Dort  - SF/PF, @ MIN($3,200)

Hey look, the Minnesota defense....again. This time, you are going to have to work with me. Luguentz Dort has yet to post a real solid line yet, and even though he is getting minutes, he isn't getting many. Since the Thunder are on the second night of a back-to-back and Steven Adams didn't play in the first game, there's a very good chance he won't play again so Dort, Hamidou Diallo, Mike Muscala, and DeAndre Burton have increased upside and should see more minutes tonight. Dort, specifically, is a very risky play.

In his most recent games, he has anchored his minutes through his defense if he can find a way to efficiently space the floor, his minutes will keep coming. This is a long-shot, but Dort is going to have a breakout game and since his price won't be able to reflect, rostering him before that game could be the miracle you need to get you to first, rather than just cashing out.

Al Horford - PF/C, vs. LAL($6,500)

This is like a cup of milk after eating the world's spiciest chili pepper. There are few players more consistent than Al Horford and that's not necessarily a good thing. He hasn't been posting wild stat lines in Joel Embiid's absence, but that's obvious, it's not Horford's role to take all the usage and do all the scoring. But against a team like this, a championship contender, you should expect him to step up as usual and fill in wherever the team needs him. His consistency comes from his style of play rather than stats, but I don't need to tell you that. Horford might not win the matchup battle bewtween himself and Anthony Davis, but he'll sure try and that's all we can ask for.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Larry Nance Jr. - PF/C, vs. CHI ($5,300)

If you were looking for the best matchup mathematically, here it is. One of the most versatile contributors in the league facing the league's worst defense against power forwards and centers. His most recent stint since returning from injury has been one his best trends all season. He is scoring in the double-digits and filling that stat sheet as usual. This will continue to happen since Nance is a talented player that just doesn't get enough minutes. As long as the Cavalierss can keep this game semi-competitive, Nance should be good for close to 30 minutes against one of the, if not, the worst defense in the NBA.
