DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/24/20): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on January 24, 2020. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

At this point, we are basically rotating most of the same players in and out of lineups since we know what defenses to target on a nightly basis. Tonight is no different, and although there will be some familiar names holding down most of the winning lineups, we need variance to make sure we can set ourselves apart from the pack. There are 10 games this Friday, so while we will need to make sure James Harden is good to go before setting our lineups in stone, adding in back-up options like Kemba Walker and Buddy Hield can help fuel your lineup without costing you too much in salary.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/24/20. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

You can find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter. Also be sure to check out RotoBaller Radio at 1:30PM on Sirius XM for further detail on tonight's slate.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Dennis Schroder - PG/SG, vs. ATL($6,500)

It's no surprise Dennis Schroder has continued to find his own role within the Thunder offense, even with Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander taking away from his usage. Seeing how all three are pass-happy point guards with the ability to score in a variety of ways, it makes sense why their backcourt isn't the reason they lose games. This was Schroder's first 30-point game since the last game of the 2018-2019 season, so expect this momentum to be carried into Oklahoma City's next game against his former team.

P.J. Dozier - PG/SG, @ NOP ($3,100)

Even though P.J. Dozier barely has over 100 minutes this season, he's already seen incredibly high usage rates in most of the games he's played in. Mind you, he's only played in six games this season but still. His ability to score will not go unappreciated by the Nuggets since most of the Nuggets bench prefer the off-ball aspect of offense anyway. His price is incredibly cheap and coming off his best game this year, playing against one of the worse defenses in the league makes him an ideal value pick.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

 Danuel House Jr. - SF/PF, @ MIN($3,900)

Once again we run into the Timberwolves defense, this time ranking 25th against opposing small forwards. Since the Rockets have beaten Minnesota twice already this season, with Danuel House Jr. only playing in one of the games and tying his season high in rebounds, he should be heading into this game with confidence. Russell Westbrook has posted two of his best passing games in terms of assists recently and James Harden has significantly cooled down on his scoring. If anything goes wrong with this game, expect House to pick up the slack as usual. With how this game is lined up, there is minimal downside here, especially if someone decides to rest in a game that should have no post-seasonal consequences.

Pascal Siakam - PF/C, @ NYK($7,700)

This might seem obvious, but there are a ton of quality power forwards available tonight, most of them more expensive than Pascal Siakam with less upside. Siakam is due for a bounce back game since returning from injury, and seeing how the Knicks defense forces opposing frontcourts to be the teams main source of production, this game is lining up to be that big game for Siakam. Playing in New York tends to boost opposing players upside rather than have the typical 'on the road' feel to them, so don't be afraid to be spend down here so you can go after either James Harden or Russell Westbrook.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Myles Turner - C, @ GSW($4,900)

Domantas Sabonis has taken over as the primary big in Indiana and Myles Turner doesn't seem to have a problem with that. It allows him to focus his attention elsewhere, and while that might be annoying for fantasy and DFS, it is what it is. We can play of this in times like these, because this is still basketball and I'm just dramatic. Turner has a big role in spacing the Pacer offense and he might be hitting a decent number of threes this season, but lately he has struggled to post double-digit scoring efforts. I expect him to change that against the Warriors frontcourt. Also, feel free to take the chance on any Kings center or power forward versus Chicago.
