DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/14/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on January 14, 2019. Tom Vecchio provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a six-game slate to kick off our NBA week and there are some great options at every position. You can go stars and scrubs build, you can go balanced tonight, there are soo many options across the board it should be a fun night to build lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/14/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings.

You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups to early and check player statuses prior to opening tip. Give me a follow on Twitter @DFS_Tom with questions or comments. Good luck everyone.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Terry Rozier - PG, BOS @ BKN (DK - $3,700)

With Kyrie Irving being listed as questionable for tonight's game, we should be seeing Rozier getting the start against the Nets. When Irving is off the court for the Celtics this season Rozier has a 21% usage rate while producing 0.94 fantasy points per minute. That is super strong production from a player who is under $4K tonight, so we should be looking at him as a lock for cash games. The Nets are giving up 44 DraftKings points per game to point guards this season, which is around league average but provides plenty of opportunities for Rozier to hit value.

C.J. McCollum - SG, POR @ SAC (DK - $6,800)

McCollum has taken 30 three-point attempts over his last four games, showing he has massive tournament upside based on his pure scoring ability. He is facing off against the Kings tonight who are giving up 41 DraftKings points per game to shooting guards this season, which is 11th worst in the league. We have a massive over-under here sitting at 227 points, with the Kings being favored by only two points, which should provide to be a fantastic fantasy environment.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Marcus Morris - SF, BOS @ BKN (DK - $5,800)

Morris certainly isn't the most exciting player to roster in NBA DFS, but he isn't too expensive and sees a 4.5% increase in his usage when Irving is off the court this season, making this a nice spot to attack tonight. He has posted 30 DraftKings points in three straight games, which should be an attainable level of fantasy points tonight as this game has an over-under set at 221 points, with the Celtics only favored by four points. The minutes will be there for him tonight, just a matter of him staying out of foul trouble which has been a problem for him in the past.

Marvin Bagley - PF, SAC vs POR (DK - $4,800)

Bagley is back from his injury and has played 20 minutes or more in each of these three games while producing 19 or more DraftKings points in each game. He seems a bit underpriced if his minutes will be on the rise and he is being this effective while he is on the court. Love the savings on him combined with the matchup versus the Trail Blazers who are seventh worst in the league DvP against power forwards this season.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Julius Randle - C, NO @ LAC (DK - $7,400)

Randle and the Pelicans are facing off against the Clippers in a game where we have an over-under set at 240 points, which is super high and thus leading to plenty of fantasy value. He comes in averaging 1.28 fantasy points per minute this season and comes in with five double-doubles in his last 10 games. With so many expensive centers on the slate tonight, I like the idea of spending down a bit to get a player who has good upside and in a very welcoming game for fantasy points.
