DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (1/10/20): NBA DFS Lineups

With Paul George already being listed as out for the Clippers game against the Warriors, look for the Los Angeles bench to pick up the slack like they usually do. Players like Landry Shamet, Maurice Harkless, JaMychal Green, and Rodney McGruder all have increased upside with George listed as out and even Kawhi Leonard is considered probable. This all makes me a little iffy on the game as a whole, seeing how there isn't the greatest consistent upside as it is, but in terms of a rostering a good players against a bad defense, feel free to take a swing on Leonard or the Clippers bench versus Golden State.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/10/20. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picksRemember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

Tonight is a 10-game slate so don't be afraid to take some risk in order to lock up the sure-thing plays tonight. If you are taking too much risk, spend down and look for players with the best matchups rather than going all in on a player you need to score 60 FPTS to hit value. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

 Derrick White - PG/SG, @ MEM ($4,100)

To be completely fair, this has been a thing with Spurs point guards since Tony Parker was still playing. Good games scattered in with mediocre games, despite having high-usage and productive outings. This is just going to happen, but you cannot just swear off playing point guards simply because they play for San Antonio. Taking the right guard at the right time has proved extremely viable and tonight against the Grizzlies and JA Morant, there won't be two more active backcourt players than Derrick White and Dejounte Murray. I'm rolling with Derrick White, but neither is really a bad choice seeing how the Spurs will want the athleticism and defense from one of the two, on the court for most of the game.

Buddy Hield - SG/SF, vs MIL ($6,600)

When Buddy Hield's price is this low against a team that has been letting shooters shoot all season, you take the chance. I had Giannis Antetoukounmpo's name entered in before anyone else because he has the highest chance of dominating this game, but it's not like the Kings are going to roll over for the Bucks. Hield is going to be their go-to shooter and since Milwaukee's defense as a whole isn't as bad as their backcourt defense, it's understandable why his upside might seem limited, but interior defense doesn't bother me when playing Hield. We want him shooting and that should be the case tonight.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo - SF/PF, @ SAC ($11,100)

Out of the big names tonight, only Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic stuck out as players with the potential to beat their incredibly-high projected. Since Doncic is pricy, but really doesn't lack the upside, especially in a game versus a top team, both seem like safe options to me. Just looking at Antetokounmpo versus Sacramento on paper and it's like you can already see the 33 points and 14 rebounds listed next to that $11,000. Unless Sacramento calls in some random act of voodoo or pull of a miracle defensive scheme, and even if Antetokounmpo can't carry his shooting/scoring momentum into this game, his upside comes how much he should contribute outside of scoring.

Doug McDermott - SF/PF, @ CHI ($3,000)

Shooters showing out has been a theme around the league recently, so I had to find a way to include this high-risk, high-reward, basement-level price, revenge-game combination pick. There is so much going on here and you obviously know the risk behind this play, but that 21 minutes he got last game and the fact he failed to hit a three, arguably the one thing he is supposed to do on the court, make me believe he should try to make up for it against Chicago. The Pacers need to win these games and even when Victor Oladipo returns, they will need someone like McDermott to be a consistent outside scorer. He'll need momentum and minutes for that to happen, and over the previous week, he has seen the slightest bump in minutes.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Montrezl Harrell - PF/C, vs. GS ($6,700)

There aren't any Clippers players that compete with Harrell's garbage time stats. There have been a countless number of times where Montrezl Harrell starts the 4th quarter at or near 15 to 20 points, finishing closer to 30-32 by the end of the game, totally dominating the other teams frontcourt, starters and bench players alike. There is nothing wrong with that, we are just going to play for it since, according to the math, the Clippers should beat the Warriors. Golden State does not have that strong frontcourt option so even if Willie Cauley-Stein or Omari Spellman play well....just nevermind. Play Harrell, don't think about it.
