DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (5/03/17): NBA DFS Advice

The top DraftKings daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 5/03/17 by Demetri Raftopoulos. Expert NBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings.

Round Two of the NBA Playoffs are in full swing. It's always an interesting night when The King and The Beard both take the court. Both, will be difficult to fade.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily NBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/03/17. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays. Shall we dance?

DraftKings DFS Guards

James Harden – PG/SG, @ SA ($10,800)

It is difficult to believe that the Houston Rockets will continue to dominate the San Antonio Spurs, especially on their home court. This is important to note for James Harden, considering he wasn't at his best, scoring-wise, Monday night, and still managed to drop over 50 fantasy points. He scored only 20 points (a low total for the MVP candidate), but dished out 14. As the rest of the series is likely to become more competitive, Harden's point totals should certainly increase. He hasn't posted a triple-double in the postseason yet, and despite flirting with one consistently, the dominance he reigned over the league throughout the regular season is brewing. Harden is still averaging an insane 1.41 fantasy points per minute, and has the highest usage rate of any player on Wednesday night's slate (35.68).

Lou Williams – SG/PG, @ SA ($5,500)

Much of the same about the series' likeliness to shift towards competitiveness applies for Lou Williams as well. Williams is already having himself a very productive postseason, and heads into Game 2 of the second round series against San Antonio shooting over 40% from behind the arc. Sweet Lou has also dropped double-digit scoring totals in every one of Houston's playoff game this season, and should see more court time in Game 2; something similar to the 30 he was averaging in the first one. Despite San Antonio's defensive prowess, Vegas has this game set at a healthy 215.

Also Consider: Kyle Korver - SG vs TOR ($2,900)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

LeBron James – SF, vs TOR ($11,700)

I know his price is even more intimidating than Harden's, but there is no reason to fade The King on Wednesday. The 2017 postseason, much like last year's playoff run, has been all LeBron, as the former MVP continues to contribute in all areas. He posted his fourth straight postseason double-double in Game 1 and has played over 40 minutes in all five of Cleveland's playoff games. The minutes will always be there, resulting in his impressive average of 1.3 fantasy points per minute, his 30.6 usage rate, and his out-of-this-world 57.66 field goal percentage. He has taken 2o or more shot attempts in five straight, and still finds time to also rebound, assist, block, steal, and pull the trigger from downtown.

Serge Ibaka – PF/C, @ TOR ($6,500)

With the exception of DeMar DeRozan, there hasn't been a more consistent Raptors player than their midseason acquisition. Serge Ibaka has not blown the daily fantasy world away with his stats, but easily remains my favorite option at the four spot. Ibaka is versatile, known more for his blocks and work on the boards, but displayed another part off is repertoire that raised an eyebrow during Game 1. Ibaka sunk all three of his attempts from behind the arc, making him a sneaky three-point threat, aiding in his ability to score in double-digits consistently.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Tristan Thompson - C, vs TOR ($5,000)

Cleveland's big man has grabbed double-digit rebounds in every game of the playoffs thus far. In Game 1's win against the Toronto Raptors, Thompson was finally able to post a double-double. I'm not sure we have seen a team pass and move the ball as well as the defending champions in a long, long time, so I think it is safe to believe that Thompson could very well repeat performances. He played 38 minutes in Game 1, and played less than 30 minutes in only one contest during round one.

Also Consider: Clint Capela - C, @ SA ($4,600)
