DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (3/10/16): NBA DFS Advice

Sam Nedimyer highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 3/10/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

Can you smell it? Not what The Rock is cooking but the madness that is beginning to ensue. The conference and NCAA tournaments are always a favorite of mine to watch. Sure there’s the usual bracket bedlam that transpires. But I absolutely love watching young players that will soon be playing in the Association. And honestly, the first thing I think of is, “I wonder how much his price tag will open up next year?”

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 3/10/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays. Be sure to check out my podcast live streaming on Google+ every Monday and Thursday right here at Rotoballer for all your DFS needs.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Kyrie Irving (at LAL, $7,700)

For some reason, there seems to be a stigmata about Kyrie on back-to-back games. For the record, he is averaging nearly 24 points, three boards and seven assists in seven games on zero days rest this season. He is also averaging more points per game for his career in those games. Irving is about as safe as they come in all formats.

There is no evidence to support Irving sitting out on Thursday. But the Cavs made it clear just a short week ago that their big three would see more rest in March to get ready for a playoff push. So if Irving does sit, Matthew Dellavedova at $3,300 is sure to show up in nearly 90& of all cash games.

Jordan Clarkson (vs CLE, $6,200)

We’ve seen the future of the Lakers over the last two games. And that future is bright. Together, both Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell are presenting a nice flow on the court that just may give some teams fits in the near future. Should Kobe Bryant rest yet again, Clarkson is about as safe as they come to rack up major minutes, blow out or not.

Emmanuel Mudiay (at DEN, $6,500)

In terms of matchups, it doesn’t get any better. Even with the returns of Jameer Nelson and Brandon Knight, as well as the continued solid play of D.J. Augustin, Mudiay is a top choice at all position in terms of points per dollar options. He has been limiting turnovers- which he should continue to do against the Suns- while playing a full compliment of minutes. Roster Mudiay and move on.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Devin Booker (vs PHO, $5,600)

The return of Knight shouldn’t hurt Booker’s playing time too much. He has clearly displayed he is the best player in the Phoenix backcourt, at least when Eric Bledsoe and Knight are out, and Knight will most likely be eased back into a full compliment of minutes. Through five games in March, Booker’s usage rate has shot up multiple percentage points, currently teetering around 29 percent.

Gary Harris (vs PHO, $5,000)

Booker makes for a solid play, but Harris makes for a smarter play. The injury to Danilo Gallinari has opened up some spots for other players, but Harris is the guy that has clearly been the biggest benefactor. In five games without Gallinari, Harris is averaging 28.2 DraftKings fantasy points. That’s good enough for a return value between 5 and 6x.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

LeBron James (at LAL, $9,800)

Kawhi Leonard (vs CHI, $8,400)

No shockers here. The King and Kawhi are leaps and bounds above the field and are both projected in the top four of all small forwards in terms of points per dollar. The Lakers have been keeping games close in Los Angeles as of late, so perhaps the Cleveland blowout is averted.

Mirza Teletovic (at DEN, $4,600)

There is kind of no telling which direction the Suns are trending towards in any given game. Case in point- Teletovic. Sometimes he plays 30 minutes despite going 4-for-13 from the field, other times he sees only 20 minutes of court time and drops 21.25 DraftKings points during that span. For these reason, Teletovic seems to be a solid tournament play, but a fade in cash games.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Paul Millsap (at TOR, $7,800)

If you trust the minutes, then you should trust him in cash games. He’s boring and consistent. But he’s boring mainly because he is consistent. This should be a bit of a closer game, meaning that Millsap is slated for minutes in the upper thirties.

Julius Randle (vs CLE, $6,400)

Here is what I wrote for Tuesday’s games: “How about this juicy nugget: Randle is now a top five rebounder in the NBA. It’s true. Look it up.” He is basically a walking double-double that gives defenders fits trying to keep up with his energy and athleticism. We’re looking at you, Kevin Love.

Nikola Mirotic (at SA, $4,100)

I emphatically despise playing anyone that is going up against the Spurs. I truly do. But Mirotic’s price is just way, waaaaaay too low to pass up. He shrugged off the rust on Monday with 14 points and six boards in 20 minutes. The Bulls are going to need some offensive firepower to offset the loss of Jimmy Butler. It’s a tough matchup, but Mirotic’s price is at a point where he can at least return value.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Alex Len (at DEN, $6,900)

Yawn. Another day, another Alex Len pick. But that should show you just how nasty this guy is. Phoenix coach Earl Watson is making it a point to give Len serious run, with or without Tyson Chandler by his side. And considering that Phoenix is on the back end of a back-to-back Thursday night, Chandler should see even less time than he normally does. It might even be a good idea to start your roster with Len at the center spot.
