DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (12/12/17)

Today's top DraftKings daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 12/12/17 by Tom Bellucco. Expert NBA DFS advice and player value sleepers for DraftKings.

If you avoided the carnage that was the NBA DFS slate last night, I am truly, truly jealous of you. Not only did I have a ton of exposure to both Draymond Green and Danilo Gallinari, but I also had both of them in my cash game lineup. Talk about flushing money down the drain. Nailing the Pelicans plays made that night twice as sour. Let's hope these DFS sites and the NBA can figure out a solution to this madness, becasue I don't know how many more zeros I can handle in my locked lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/12/17.

If you have any questions or comments (or you just wanna tilt about last night), hit me up on Twitter @BellRoto. Here we go!

DFS Guards to Consider

Jimmy Butler - SG, vs. PHI ($8,000)

Jimmy "Buckets" Butler has quietly become the focal point of the Timberwolves' offense over the past few weeks. For whatever reason, DraftKings refuses to respect his massive overall involvement. To that point, he's exceed 5x value at this price tag in seven of his last eight games. Thats absurd. The best part? His peripherals make this stretch super legit and cash-game safe. I love Butler for cash games and will have some tournament exposure too in this pace-up spot.

Will Barton - SG/SF @ DET ($7,400)

With Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap still on the fence, the Nuggets will almost surely try to make this matchup against Andre Drummond and the defensive-minded Pistons as fast as possible. Their best chance of doing that is keeping Will Barton on the floor, as he's shown great offensive ability in recent games. With minutes in the high 30s, a usage rate topping 20%, and a team that desperately needs scoring, Barton seems safe in cash and still presents upside, even at this elevated price.

Other DFS Guards to Consider: Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jordan Clarkson, Wesley Matthews, Mike James, Frank Mason III

DFS Forwards to Consider

Kristaps Porzingis - PF/C vs. LAL ($8,500)

This seems like a dream spot for a priced-down stud in Kristaps Porzingis. The shot attempts have been just fine since he's come back from injury, as he's taken 23 and 25 in his last two contests. You'd have to imagine that the fast pace of this matchup will do wonders for the Unicorn's rebound, block, and steal numbers as well. With Tim Hardaway Jr. still out and Enes Kanter hurting, the Knicks will need all of their star power to hold off this young Lakers team at home

Otto Porter - SF/PF, @ BKN ($7,200)

Speaking of a dream spot, this seems like it for Otto Porter as well. However, his game log is as volatile as it gets, even in pace-up spots without John Wall when he would normally seem like a lot. Regardless, I'm going to trust the fact that his shot attempts should remain high and one of the best fantasy matchups in basketball should allow for plenty of rebounds, steals/blocks, and open three pointers. I wish I could say this was a safe cash play, but it realistically is not. However, I will have a good amount of Porter in my GPP lineups barring major changes tomorrow.

Other DFS Forwards to Consider: Zach Randolph, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Dario Saric (If Joel Embiid is out), Markieff Morris, Trey Lyles

DFS Centers to Consider

Joel Embiid C, @ MIN ($10,100)

Karl-Anthony Towns has been a wonderful matchup for big men all year, and a healthy Joel Embiid would not give me any reason to think that changes. We can safely assume that if Embiid starts, he's healthy enough to play full minutes. He's their prize possesion, and I don't think Philly is dumb enough to play an injured Embiid. I want some of this matchup if this man is in the starting lineup, and if not I'll settle for Andre Drummond in an equally good spot. Heck, maybe I'll try to jam in both.

Other DFS Centers to Consider: Andre Drummond, Kenneth Faried, Julius Randle
