Sam Nedimyer highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 2/4/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

As gross as the Suns have looked over the past month-plus, the argument could be made that a DFS roster full of them tonight makes a lot of sense. Phoenix is dealing with a boatload of injuries, and new head coach Earl Watson has made it abundantly clear who he wants to get a heavy workload in the near future. When making your Thursday night lineups, take a look at a Sun at each position and especially the few mentioned below.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Jrue Holiday (at LAL, $7,200)

A lot of times we are asked if it is a good idea to actually roster bench players in a DFS lineup. The answer is simple, at least for me. I don’t care if a guy is coming off the bench or starting, all I care about is his playing time. Holiday has been coming off the bench for most of the season and especially over the last four games with Bryce Dejean-Jones in the starter’s role. Holiday is getting just about 30 minutes of court time during that span and has produced efficiently. He will most likely be matched up against D’Angelo Russell. Things could get ugly in the Staples Center.

Norris Cole (at LAL, $5,800)

This is how bad the Lakers are at perimeter defense. Los Angeles has given up the most fantasy points to the opposing point and shooting guard on the season. There will be no stopping the one-two combination of Holiday and Cole, especially if they are on the court at the same time.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

James Harden (at PHX, $10,800)

In news that should shock absolutely no one, The Beard is pretty good, and the Suns are really bad. Really, really bad.

Gerald Henderson (vs TOR, $3,200)

Keep an eye on Henderson in the Pacific northwest. He has scored at least 10 points in four out of his last five games while playing at least 22 minutes in each game during that span. But he isn’t just a scorer. Henderson has been contributing with a spattering of assists and rebounds here and there, enough to add some fantasy relevance at his near bottom barrel price.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Carmelo Anthony (at DET, $8,500)

For all the Melo hate that is out there, the following remains true: the offense still flows through him and the dude is consistently among the league leaders in usage rate. The Knicks superstar has improved on his rebounding numbers and may even set a career-high in assists this season. I would like to fit him in my roster for Thursday, but the price may be too high. Especially since the Beard and Brow are near auto-plays.

P.J. Tucker (vs HOU, $5,400)

Minutes and usage. Isn’t that what it always comes down to? Tucker is on pace to play in the high-30 minutes if it wasn’t for an early exit against the San Antonio Spurs when he took a knee to the chest. Although he hasn’t made a ton of baskets, he has been filling up the stat sheet with 6.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over his last six.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Anthony Davis (at LAL, $10,000)

If you trust that the Brow can make it a full game without getting hurt, then you can trust that he has maximum upside in Thursday’s game in Los Angeles. If you are smart with your fake money and choose to roster some of the better value plays, sit back, relax, and watch the Brow eat some glass.

Markieff Morris (vs MIN, $5,700)

Here’s the lock chalk play of the day. The new Phoenix administration has made it clear that they want Morris, however many days he has left wearing a Suns uni, to be the man. They want the offense centered around him and it starts by inserting him in the lineup. If Earl Watson’s press statements and Morris’s 41 minute, 20 shot, 11 rebound game in his last outing isn’t enough evidence for you, I don’t know what else is.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Andre Drummond (vs NY, $8,600)

This is another spot where the top guy is leaps and bounds above the field. Drummond has the highest floor of any center on the night, despite playing against the Knicks and their painstakingly slow pace.

Meyers Leonard (vs TOR, $3,900)

For more value in order to roster some of these heavy hitters, look to the Justin Bieber look-a-like. His DraftKings numbers have consistently hit in the mid-to-high 20s over the last seven games and his price has dropped just a touch to give a nice return on value against the Toronto frontcourt. Plus, weird things happen in the Pacific Northwest. I've seen the X-Files.
