Justin Bales highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 1/8/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

In my last article, I wrote about how Devin Booker needs to figure out the NBA, and it's looking like he's a quick learner. He has flashed tremendous upside, and he's going to be a great player in the NBA for the next 15 years.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 1/8/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to it!

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Russell Westbrook (at LAL, $10,800)

This is a tough spot for Westbrook, as he should be able to hit value if this game stays even somewhat close. That’s a big if, though, as the Lakers have been awful and the Thunder have been great. Westbrook has been on fire recently, averaging 24.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 10.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game over the last 10 days, and he can be used in all leagues he fits in.

Mario Chalmers (vs DEN, $4,600)

Mike Conley is doubtful right now, and if he’s out, Chalmers becomes a must start. Conley was out in the last game, and Chalmers was able to score 23 points with eight rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. He draws a great matchup against the Nuggets, who have really struggled defensively this season, and Chalmers price tag is so low because of his bench role. Chalmers can be used in GPPs if Conley plays, but if he’s out, Chalmers is a must start in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Klay Thompson (at POR, $8,000)

Thompson has caught fire, and he has scored 40+ fantasy points in five of his last six games, including four consecutive games. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 28.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He gets a great matchup tonight against the Blazers, who have been one of the worst teams in the NBA against the shooting guard. Thompson is an extremely streaky player, and he can be used in all leagues while he’s on this hot streak.

Devin Booker (vs MIA, $4,700)

Booker is locked into big minutes for the Suns, and he is an extremely talented player. He has scored 35+ fantasy points in two of his last three games, and he has great upside. Booker is a lights out shooter, but he’s also athletic enough to add peripheral stats. It’s very rare that someone with his amount of talent is locked into huge minutes with this low of a price tag. He can be used in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Kevin Durant (at LAL, $10,300)

In his last game, Durant was listed as out, but he ended up starting and scoring 56.75 fantasy points. He also scored 55.25 fantasy points in his game before that, and Durant is catching fire. He has dominated the Lakers in limited minutes this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Durant play 30+ minutes tonight, as he did in a blowout against the Grizzlies in his last start. Durant can be used in all leagues.

T.J. Warren (vs MIA, $4,900)

Aside from a couple bad games, Warren has been playing well recently. The Suns are dealing with injuries, and Warren is benefitting from them, and finally displaying his great upside. He is a great scorer, who can also add peripheral stats in each game. Warren should be locked into big minutes tonight with Bledsoe out and Tucker injured, and he can be used in all leagues for his lower price tag.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Draymond Green (at POR, $10,000)

Green has been on fire recently, as he triple doubled in three of his last four games, and the one was a blowout, in which he played limited minutes. He’s averaging 16.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.8 steals per game over the last 10 days. He gets a great matchup against the Blazers, who have really struggled against big men this season. Green has tremendous upside, and he’s also a consistent option. He can be used in all leagues.

Patrick Patterson (at WAS, $3,700)

Patterson hasn’t been a great player, but he is extremely cheap and he plays fairly big minutes. Over the last 10 games, he scored 20+ fantasy points in three games, including a great 37 fantasy point performance. He gets a good matchup against Washington, and Patterson is the type of guy that will allow you to roster Westbrook or Durant. He can be used in all leagues because of his low price tag.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Brook Lopez (vs ORL, $7,900)

Lopez has been playing extremely well recently, as he’s averaging 24.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.4 steals per game over the last 10 days. He gets a great matchup against the Magic, who he recently dominated for 62.25 fantasy points. He’s a bigger part of the offense with Jack out, and Lopez makes a great play in all leagues tonight.
