DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 1/29/16

By Keith Allison [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Justin Bales highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 1/29/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

The NBA is dealing with a plethora of injuries, which seem to only be coming from teams that are trying to get a better pick. The main team I'm talking about is the Suns, as they only dressed around eight players the one night. Regardless, it helps our fantasy lineups because we can get such great cheap options each night.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/29/16. The DFS picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to it!

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Russell Westbrook (vs HOU, $10,800)

I’ve been recommending Westbrook for a while, and there isn’t a reason to avoid him if he fits well in the lineup. He’s extremely expensive, but he’s consistently hitting or exceeding value. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 21.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 11.6 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. He gets a great matchup against the Rockets, who have struggled against the point guard this season, and Westbrook has already dominated them for 55 fantasy points. This game will be extremely fast paced, and Westbrook can be used in all leagues.

Zach LaVine (at UTA, $4,900)

LaVine has been playing big minutes because of the injury to Kevin Martin, and Martin will likely sit out again tonight. In his last two games, LaVine is averaging 28.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. He has flashed tremendous upside in those two games, as he easily exceeded value in each game. The matchup against the Jazz isn’t ideal, as they tend to slow down the pace of games, but LaVine can be trusted in all leagues as soon as Kevin Martin is formally ruled out.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Dwyane Wade (at MIL, $6,700)

It’s tough to trust an aging player who is constantly dealing with some type of injury, but Dwyane Wade has been on fire recently. He has taken at least 20 shots in each of his last three games, and he’s averaging 25.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.3 steals per game over that span. He gets a good matchup against the Bucks, who have struggled defensively at times this season. Wade isn’t priced nearly as high as some of the elite options, but he has been producing at an elite level recently. He is still best suited for GPPs tonight.

Archie Goodwin (at NY, $5,600)

Goodwin is finally at a price where he isn’t a must start tonight, but he still makes a great option. Over the last 10 days, Goodwin is averaging 18.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Brandon Knight is going to be out again tonight, which means Goodwin is locked into 30+ minutes, and he’ll continue to be a fairly big part of the offense. He gets a matchup against the Knicks, who have struggled on defense at time this season, and Goodwin can be used in all leagues tonight.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Kevin Durant (vs HOU, $10,100)

If you don’t want to pay up for Russell Westbrook tonight, Kevin Durant makes a great secondary option for the Thunder. His price isn’t quite as high, but he has been playing nearly as well as Westy over the last 10 days. Over that span, KD is averaging 29.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.3 steals per game. The Rockets have been the worst team in the NBA against the small forward, and KD is arguably the best small forward in the league. He shouldn’t have any problems scoring, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Chandler Parsons (vs BKN, $6,700)

Parsons has been heating up recently, as he’s taking on a larger offensive role. Over the last 10 days, Parsons is averaging 21.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. Parsons is locked into big minutes for the Mavs, and he has already dominated the Nets once this season for a near triple double. The Nets have really struggled on defense this season, and Parsons can be used in all leagues until his price shoots up a bit.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Serge Ibaka (vs HOU, $5,700)

Ibaka is the third and cheapest options for the Thunder tonight. They are going to score quite a bit, which means it would be wise to use at least one of their three best options. Ibaka hasn’t been playing all that well recently, as he’s only averaging 10.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, but he scored 41.75 fantasy points just a couple games ago, and he has already dominated the Rockets for 43.5 fantasy points this season. Ibaka comes with a lot more risk than Westbrook and Durant, but he’s also significantly cheaper, and he’s a great GPP option tonight.

Amir Johnson (vs ORL, $5,100)

Johnson is far from a consistent player, but he has tremendous upside. Johnson’s minutes aren’t guaranteed each night, which causes his inconsistencies, but he has recently scored 41.75 and 31.0 fantasy points in two of his last three games. Johnson has the ability to fill the stat sheet in four of the five categories, which gives him great upside each night. He gets a great matchup against the Magic, who have struggled defending anyone this season. Again, Johnson isn’t safe enough for cash games, but he can be used as a high upside GPP option tonight.

DraftKings DFS Centers

DeAndre Jordan (vs LAL, $7,500)

Jordan has been rebounding at an elite level recently, as he’s averaging 13.8 points, and 14.5 rebounds per game over the last 10 days. Tonight, Jordan gets a great matchup against the Lakers, who rank dead last in the NBA against centers this season. Jordan won’t have any troubles rebounding tonight, and he should be a lock for at least a double double tonight. His price isn’t all that high, and he can be used in all leagues.
