DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Chris Paul (at UTA, $8,700)

Recommending Paul is getting repetitive at this point, but how can you not love him for his price tag? The Jazz haven’t been as elite of a defense with Rudy Gobert out, and Paul has been on fire recently. He’s nearly a lock for a double double with a few extra peripheral stats. He has consistently been hitting or exceeding value, and his price hasn’t jumped all that high yet. It will continue to go up, but he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Ish Smith (at PHO, $4,500)

Smith comes with a ton of risk tonight because his minutes are far from guaranteed. He does know the Sixers offense, as he played with them last season, and he should be able to steal minutes at point guard. He flashed big play ability with the Pelicans earlier this season, and the Sixers really have no offensive presence outside of Jahlil Okafor right now. Smith has never been shy to shoot the ball, and if he gets minutes tonight, he will easily exceed value. He’s an extremely high risk, high reward option tonight.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Eric Bledsoe (vs PHI, $8,300)

Bledsoe was on fire, but he has really cooled off over the last couple of games. He had a short break because of Christmas, and he gets a great matchup against the Sixers tonight. Ish Smith will likely receive minutes tonight at point guard for the Sixers, and he very well could be called on to guard Bledsoe. Bledsoe will easily be able to win that matchup, and that could be all he needs to get back on a hot streak. He also has triple double potential, but Bledsoe is best suited for GPPs with his price tag tonight.

Kyle Korver (vs NY, $4,200)

Korver has been playing fairly well heading into the Christmas break, as he was averaging 10.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game over the last 10 days. He gets a matchup against the Knicks tonight, who have struggled on defense at times this season. Korver has flashed great upside, but he also comes with quite a bit of risk. His price tag is low enough that he can be used in tournaments, but he isn’t safe enough for cash games.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Nicolas Batum (vs MEM, $7,200)

Batum is another player who has flashed tremendous upside, but he has also flashed a bit of risk. In his last four games, he has scored 35+ fantasy points twice and less than 21 fantasy points twice. He gets a good matchup against the Grizzlies, who have really struggled against the small forward this season. Batum has also been a significantly better fantasy player at home this season, where he’s averaging more than 9 fantasy points per game than on the road. Batum makes a great tournament option.

Jae Crowder (at DET, $5,900)

Crowder is playing with a great amount of confidence right now, and it’s showing in the box score. Over the last three games, he’s averaging 20.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. He has been playing more power forward with Amir Johnson hurt, and he’ll make a great play in all leagues if Johnson is forced to miss tonight’s game, as well. Even if Johnson plays, Crowder makes a great tournament option. He has been shooting the ball well recently, and he has always been an extremely streaky play throughout his career. As long as he is hot, he is a great option.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Kevin Love (at POR, $7,900)

If everyone would quickly remember back to Love’s days in Minnesota and how great of a rebounder he is, you know why I love him tonight. I continue to take great rebounders against Portland, who has struggled rebounding the ball this season. Love is coming off a huge game, in which he scored 10 points with 18 rebounds. Love’s price isn’t at an elite level yet, and he is nearly a lock for a double double against a weak Portland frontcourt tonight.

Taj Gibson (at DAL, $4,900)

Gibson is a must play tonight, as Noah is out, Gibson is playing big minutes, and his price is extremely low. In his last two games, he has scored 23 points with 19 rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and one steal. He has shown an ability to record huge stat lines when given the minutes, and the Bulls need him to play big minutes at power forward and center. His price is only going to skyrocket while Noah is out, and he can be used in all leagues while he’s still cheap.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Hassan Whiteside (at ORL, $7,200)

This pick comes with a bit of risk because of the way Whiteside acted on Christmas. He was extremely upset about being benched at the end of the game to say the least, and his actions resulted in his benching in overtime, as well. Earlier in the season, the Heat benched him, as well, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him play limited minutes tonight. Even in those limited minutes, Whiteside was able to score eight points with 17 rebounds and four blocks. He doesn’t need many minutes to hit value, and he has tremendous upside, as well. It’s just a matter of whether he sees 15 or 35 minutes tonight.
