DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/15/19): MLB DFS Lineups

Welcome to Sunday baseball! With just about every eye in the world on football, and mine included, we can't take a break with MLB or this may be the day you were going to take down a big GPP. In all seriousness, baseball is great now as the season winds down and there's a huge edge to be had.

Pitcher isn't very deep, but we have a couple solid options that are worth playing in all formats. Offensively, there are plenty of gas can pitchers to pick on. Let's dive in and find a top play at each position!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/11/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Be sure to also check out all the Vegas Odds for today's slate. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. .

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Shane Bieber - CLE vs. MIN - $11,800

If you’re looking for consistency, this is your guy. Shane Bieber has thrown 10 straight quality starts since July and has looked great doing so. He strikes out 10+ batters per nine innings and knows how to limit runs with the best of them. The Twins have a good offense, but they’re all power and strikeouts. Bieber may give up a solo homer or two, but should work six or seven innings and strikeout close to 10.

Jose Quintana - CHC vs. PIT - $9,600

Quintana is a lot cheaper than Bieber, and in a pretty solid match-up himself. The Pirates rank 26th in baseball against lefties, striking out 25% of the time on their way to a team .288 wOBA. They have a few weapons, but nearly every bat on the team prefers righties. Quintana is always up and down, but he strikes out nine batters per nine and doesn’t walk many. The Cubs are playing great right now and look for Quintana to keep that run going tonight.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Freddie Freeman - ATL @ WAS (Sanchez) - $4,900

Anibal Sanchez doesn’t have very good numbers, but he’s still been one of the luckies pitchers in all of baseball. A .241 BABIP is simply too low and a number that will average out to .305-.315 before its said and done. Sanchez is worse against lefties, allowing a .389 wOBA and 43% hard contact rate. Freddie Freeman is one of the best hitters in the league and has as much upside as anyone on the entire slate. The Braves are expected to put up 5.25 runs on Sanchez and Freeman should be heavily involved.

Jonathan Villar - BAL @ DET (Jackson) - $4,600

You know something is wrong when the Baltimore Orioles are projected to score over five runs on the road. Edwin Jackson is the worst pitcher in baseball and I have no idea why he hasn’t at least been moved to a bullpen or AAA. or AA. Villar has had a great 2019, and he's held onto a .382 wOBA against righties. He has a ton of stolen base upside and home run upside as well. Edwin Jackson is terrible and the bullpen following him has ranked 28th against right-handers. Villar is expensive, but let's hop that drives his ownerhsip down quite a bit.

Alex Bregman - HOU @ KC (Junis) - $5,300

I’ve managed to stay away from the Astros up to this point, but no more. They hold the highest implied team total on the board and you have to get exposure on the small slate. Junis has struggled against both sides of the plate, and the big ballpark won’t save him in the slightest. Alex Bregman is the consistent key in the ignition for this lineup and he can be played against both righties and lefties. He posts a .400+ wOBA against both. The Astros are expensive , but a near lock to put up a ton of runs.

Xander Bogaerts - BOS @ PHI (Vargas) - $4,900

The Red Sox are right there with the Astros in terms of a team I want to stack tonight. Jason Vargas is susceptible to the long ball and we know these Red Sox righties don’t mess around. Bogaerts has held a .380 wOBA against lefties on the year and has hit a homer in every 16 at-bats. Jason Vargas has given up a .346 wOBA to opposing righties and can be targeted heavily by this lethal Red Sox lineup.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Xander Bogaerts - BOS @ PHI (Vargas) - $4,600

If you thought Bogaerts was good against lefties, how about a .538 wOBA? J.D. Martinez has a posted a .397 BATTING AVERAGE against lefties, let alone wOBA. Vargas will do his best to avoid Martinez, but he’ll put one in the seats if he misses his mark. You’re playing with fire if you ignore J.D. Martinez in cash games.

Kyle Schwarber - CHC vs. PIT (Williams) - $4,200

I was going to go Brantley here, but we haven’t touched on the Cubs yet and they’ve put up 14+ runs in back to back games. Trevor Williams is nobody to be afraid of and the Cubs lefties look like great weapons facing off with a pitcher that’s allowed a .361 wOBA to left-ganders. Schwarber appears to be a boom or bust option, but he does have some consistency if the offense is rolling. His price is up there for a reason.
