DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/9/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on August 9th, 2018. Troy Klauder's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Even with only nine games being played today, we've still got five different slates on DraftKings and tons of different contests to join. The featured slate starts at 7pm eastern and covers six games.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/9/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Corey Kluber - P, vs MIN ($10,900)

After a rough stretch that had many fantasy owners concerned, Kluber has gotten back to his dominant form, throwing a complete game shutout in his last time out. Kluber has a 2.66 Deserved Run Average on the season and should have another ace-like outing against the Twins. Pounce on Kluber while his price is still this low, because it won't be for long.

Junior Guerra - P, vs SD ($7,300)

While it's likely that Guerra is currently outperforming his peripherals, he should continue his success against one of the weakest lineups in baseball. The Padres have just a .285 wOBA versus righties, second-worst in the league, as well as the highest K-rate at 25.8%. Expect Guerra to roll through this lineup with no issues.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Kurt Suzuki - C, at WAS ($3,500)

Suzuki is a sneaky catcher play for a low price as he faces a lefty in Gio Gonzalez. Suzuki has actually hit lefties very well this season, with a 121 wRC+. Gonzalez has been a mess lately, so Suzuki could have a nice day.

Greg Bird - 1B, vs TEX ($3,600)

Bird has been cold lately, but he's always worth a look any time he's at home against a weak pitcher. Bird will see lots of RBI opportunities in the middle of the stacked Yankees lineup against Ariel Jurado, who has a pathetic 10.9% K-rate through three starts this year.

DJ LeMahieu - 2B, vs LAD ($4,200)

LeMahieu is surprisingly cheap for a batter at Coors Field, especially considering that he's batting second in the Rockies order. He's not a big power play, but LeMahieu should be able to score some points in the best offensive environment in baseball.

Anthony Rendon - 3B, vs ATL ($4,100)

Braves starter Anibal Sanchez has an impressive 2.89 ERA this year, but his 3.76 FIP and 3.85 SIERA suggest that he's got some regression on the way. If the Nationals are the lineup that gets to him, Rendon will be involved with some runs and RBIs out of their three-hole. Regardless of the opponent, Rendon is too cheap at this price.

Xander Bogaerts - SS, vs TOR ($4,200)

Bogaerts has a career 124 wRC+ against southpaws and is facing lefty Ryan Borouki. Bogaerts is in a great hitter's park at home in Fenway Park and is a strong mid-level option at shortstop.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Matt Kemp - OF, at COL ($4,200)

Kemp is another hitter who you can take advantage of at Coors Field without breaking your budget. Kemp could be in line for a huge day against lefty Tyler Anderson, as Kemp's got an elite 147 wRC+ against left-handed pitching this year.

Andrew McCutchen - OF, vs PIT ($4,100)

I like McCutchen in cash games as he's got a high floor Ivan Nova, owner of a 4.49 ERA. As the Giants leadoff hitter, Cutch will have plenty of opportunities to produce and will be in a good spot to score some runs.
