The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on July 31st, 2018. Tom Vecchio's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a monster 14-game slate to break down today, and there are some great options across the board. There are a few high-priced pitchers on the slate you should be looking to pay up for, along with plenty of bats you want to jam into your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/31/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Trevor Bauer – P, CLE @ MIN (DK - $13,300)

Bauer is the most expensive pitcher on the slate, but he is looking like a sure-fire cash game option today. He is facing off against the Twins, who have a 21% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is slightly better than league average. Bauer has put up eight or more strikeouts in eight of his last 10 games while allowing only 14 earned runs in that same span. He has one start against the Twins this season, where he put up 11 strikeouts and allowed three earned runs over 5.2 innings.

Zack Godley – P, ARI vs TEX (DK - $7,200)

Godley is at home and has a great matchup vs the Rangers, who come in with a 25.7% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is third worst in the league. Godley is a great price today and makes a solid SP2 option tonight. He has allowed three or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts, a level which he should be able to reach tonight vs Texas, who has the 11th worst wOBA vs right-handed pitchers this season.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Freddie Freeman – 1B, ATL vs MIA (DK - $4,700)

Freeman is one of most expensive first basemen on the slate, but you should be trying to fit him into your lineups tonight. He is facing off against Dan Straily, who is giving up a .341 wOBA to lefties this season, along with 1.43 HR/9, a 33% fly ball rate, and a 42% hard contact rate. Those numbers should jump off the page at you, and make Freeman a prime candidate to hit a home run tonight.

Cesar Hernandez – 2B, PHI @ BOS (DK - $4,600)

Really like this matchup for Hernandez today, since he is facing off against Drew Pomeranz, who is giving up a .411 wOBA to righties and 2.41 HR/9. Hernandez has a .327 wOBA vs left-handed pitchers this season, which should be perfect in this great hitter’s park and makes a solid addition to a Phillies stack tonight.

Logan Forsythe – 3B, LAD vs MIL (DK - $3,200)

Forsythe is very cheap today and comes in with the platoon advantage tonight vs Wade Miley. Speaking of Miley, he has a very small sample size this season, so if we look back to last year, we will see that he gave up a .374 wOBA to right-handed hitters. Nice bit of savings with Forsythe along with getting exposure to a powerful offense.

Eduardo Escobar – SS, ARI vs TEX (DK - $4,700)

Escobar comes into this game with a .382 wOBA and a .293 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which lines up nicely vs Bartolo Colon, who is giving up a 40% hard contact rate vs left-handed hitters this season. A bit of power upside can make him a nice one off in a GPP lineup.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Nicholas Castellanos – OF, DET vs CIN (DK – $4,100)

Castellanos is up against perennial gas can Homer Bailey, who is giving up a .384 wOBA to righties this season, along with 1.80 HR/9. Castellanos has a .188 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which should put him near the top of the list for potential home run targets tonight.

Brett Gardner – OF, NYY vs BAL (DK - $4,400)

Gardner will continue to hit leadoff for the Yankees and get you exposure to a lineup which is at home in a great hitter’s park. He has a solid .324 wOBA and a .153 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, along with having seven of his nine home runs against RHP.
