DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/11/19): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on May 11th, 2019. Ben Rolfe's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It is finally Saturday! With the weather warming up what better way to celebrate than with two baseball slates? Once again both slates are deemed "featured" by DraftKings, but with slightly more emphasis on the 8 game main slate at 7:10. Therefore, in this article I will be focusing on that late slate and trying to help you hit it big in your Saturday GPP contest.

The Mets are by far the biggest favorites on this slate and that game has the lowest total, with a consensus 6.5 line. Outside of that there are no stand out slam dunk favorites on the late slate, but there are plenty of interesting options if you dig deep enough.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/11/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Jacob deGrom, NYM (vs. MIA) - $11,000

It is a lot of money to pay but deGrom is really hard to pass up against the lowly Marlins. deGrom has had his injury worries this season, and it brought a couple of bad outings. However, outside of the three games around the injury, deGrom has allowed just two earned runs in 27 innings. That includes a seven-inning, 14-strikeout shutout performance in Miami in his second outing of the season.

Zach Eflin, PHI (@ KC) - $8,500

Eflin has been impressive in his last two outings, allowing just two earned runs in 16 innings. Strikeouts have been an issue, but he has still averaged 25 points an outing in those two starts. Kauffman Stadium is a solid park to pitch in and the Royals are at best hit-or-miss this season. On a so-so slate for cheaper pitching options, the gamble that Eflin can make it three good starts in a row is worth taking.

 

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C - J.T. Realmuto, PHI (@ KC) - $4,300

Realistically you can only use Realmuto if you are not using one of the expensive options, because using this much on a catcher when you are tight on budget does not make much sense. However, Realmuto is by far the best catching option on this slate. All four of his home runs this season have come with right-handed pitchers on the mound, after having a .384 wOBA and a .217 ISO against them last season.

1B - Brandon Belt, SF (vs. CIN) - $3,800

Top end pitching means you have to skimp a little with your hitting. However, Belt might be someone who can still provide you upside while saving your budget. Against right-handed pitching this season, Belt has a .274 ISO and a .380 wOBA, with three home runs, two triples, and seven doubles.

2B - Robinson Cano, NYM (vs. MIA) - $3,500

This season has not quite lived to the heights of last season for Cano. However, he has still been relatively good against right-handed pitchers, with a .196 ISO, a .366 wOBA and a .309 batting average.

3B - Asdrubal Cabrera, TEX (@ HOU) - $3,700

Cabrera is having a strong season against right-handed pitchers so far, hitting six home runs, to give him a .259 ISO and a .346 wOBA against them. I do not like picking against Cole, but he has been up and down this season, including allowing four earned runs and two home runs to the Royals last time out.

SS - Ronny Rodriguez, DET (@ MIN) - $4,300

If you are willing to pay up then perhaps either Trevor Story or Manny Machado are safer. However, Rodriguez is a good option and saves some all-important budget for the outfield. This season, Rodriguez has hit all three of his home runs off right-handed pitchers, giving him a .356 ISO and a .417 wOBA.

 

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Joey Gallo, TEX (@ HOU) - $5,000

If you decide to try and save money pitching then Joey Gallo is the hitter you should try and get into your lineup. Against right-handed pitchers this season Gallo has nine home runs, a .413 ISO and a .446 wOBA.

Shin-Soo Choo, TEX (@ HOU) - $4,400

Anytime he is facing a right-handed pitcher there is a case for using Choo. This season against righties Choo has four home runs, a .330 batting average, a .229 ISO and a .414 wOBA.

Joc Pederson, LAD (vs. WSH) - $4,200

It is less than ideal going up against Max Scherzer but Pederson's numbers are so good against right-handed pitchers. Pederson has a ridiculous 12 home runs, a .451 ISO and a .427 wOBA against righties this season.
