DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/29/19): MLB DFS Lineups

For Monday's slate of Major League Baseball games, I'll focus on the contests (first pitch of 7:05 PM EST and later). Be sure to double-check the weather and the lineups before finalizing your roster.

The weather actually looks pretty good across the board, with precipitation of 20 percent or less across all MLB venues. The only place where the elements will affect play will be in Oracle Park, as the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants will face a steady Jetstream of 10-13 mph blowing out to left-center field.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/29/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. Be sure to also check out all the Vegas Odds for today's slate. If you have any questions or comments, contact me on Twitter @danieledobish.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Zach Davies - P, MIL vs. COL ($6,800)

Davies is an unbelievably great value despite the fact Colorado has been red hot lately. Sure, the Rockies are 10-3 in their past 13 games overall. However, Miller Park has been a rough place for the Rox over the years, as Colorado is 1-4 in their past five trips to Milwaukee, and 1-6 in the past seven meetings overall. Davies enters 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in his five outings this season, making him an attractive pick at this low price.

Zack Wheeler - P NYM vs. CIN ($9,300)

Go with a Zac(h/k) attack with your pitching staff in DFS on Monday. Wheeler has a bit of a higher price tag than Davies, but he will be worth it. The Reds have struggled on the road, going 15-36 in the past 51 away from home dating back to last season, and they're 9-19 in the past 28 on the road against winning teams. Conversely, the Mets are 7-2 in Wheeler's past nine home outings, and 13-5 in the past 18 starts overall. Look for Wheeler to come out of this one with a quality start and win, making him well worth the money.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Yasmani Grandal - C, MIL vs COL ($4,500)

Grandal sits atop the list of catchers in price, but he is worth the money on a shortened slate on Monday. He leads all catchers with a .294 average (25-for-85) with two doubles, six homers, and 12 RBI, and he has managed a respectable .901 OPS. The switch-hitting backstop will face a southpaw, and he is even better vs. LHP, going 9-for-22 (.409) with two doubles, two homers, and four RBI so far.

Hunter Dozier - 1B, KC vs TB ($4,900)

Dozier is one of just four players on the board at the first base position with 10.0 or more Fantasy Points Per Game (FPPG). He can also be used at the hot corner, too. Dozier is hitting a cool .349 with four doubles, two triples and seven homers with 17 RBI, and his 1.143 OPS is second-best in the majors among third-base eligible players.

Joe Panik - 2B, SF vs. LAD ($3,000)

Panik has a low, low price tag, helping you stock up with studs at other positions on a light night. He is hitting just .184 overall, but he is showing some signs of life with three hits over the past 14 at-bats with a double, a homer and four RBI across the past four outings. He knows RHP Kenta Maeda well, and the Dodgers pitcher has a mediocre 5.20 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. Panik doesn't need to do much to exceed salary expectations.

Yandy Diaz - 3B, TB at KC ($4,600)

Diaz is a solid play against RHP Brad Keller, as he has shown some outstanding extra-base hit ability so far this season. He has logged five doubles, a triple, seven homers and 16 RBI with 18 runs scored across just 90 at-bats, slashing .289/.385/.600 to date.

Trevor Story - SS, COL at MIL ($5,500)

Story rolls into this one against the Brewers with a 16-game hitting streak in tow. He is slashing .358/.405/.597 during the span with 14 runs scored, three homers and 10 RBI over the impressive stretch.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Michael Brantley - OF, HOU at MIN ($4,800)

Dr. Smooth is well down the price list among outfielders, but he is a nice value. He smacked a solo homer in the last meeting with RHP Jake Odorizzi on April 22. Odorizzi has a subpar 4.37 ERA in his five outings overall, so it's a favorable matchup for the Houston offense. Expect Brantley to be front and center of the offensive attack. He has hit safely in 18 of the past 20 games, raising his average from .179 to .312 just since April 5.

Brandon Nimmo - OF, NYM vs. CIN ($3,900)

Nimmo enters this game with six hits over his past three outings, and he has a double, three runs scored and just two strikeouts during the span. He has a little pop, and can easily exceed his salary expectations if he can collect an extra-base hit. He is facing RHP Tanner Roark, who has a 1.60 WHIP, so chances are good Nimmo comes up big.
