DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (10/3/24)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Thursday (10/3/24). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are finally back up to two games on Thursday night after single-game offerings over the last two weeks. It's good to be back. We have a couple of interesting games on tap tonight.

We start in southern Alabama with Texas State taking on Troy. We end in West Texas with Sam Houston heading over to El Paso to take on UTEP.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/3/24, locking at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Jordan McCloud, Texas State ($9K)

Troy's defense is good, but McCloud put up 31.74 DraftKings points on a similarly good Sam Houston defense last week. Despite the tougher matchup, McCloud has the highest ceiling of anyone on the slate. His low mark on the season is 23.42 points in the opener against Lamar.

Tucker Kilcrease, Troy ($5.7K)

Kilcrease will get the start if Goose Crowder is unable to go (which seems likely). Kilcrease was solid in relief of Crowder in the loss to Monroe. He didn't score a touchdown, but he completed six of 10 passes and didn't turn the ball over. That's a solid return for this low price.

Also consider: Hunter Watson, Sam Houston ($8.5K); Cade McConnell, UTEP ($6.8K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Damien Taylor, Troy ($5.7K)

Taylor has 33 touches over the last two games, so he gets a healthy workload for a very reasonable price. Troy leaned on him a little more when Goose Crowder went down. If Crowder remains out, Taylor's workload should approach 20 carries. Texas State allowed 298 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns to Sam Houston last week. Taylor is in a great spot here.

Jay Ducker, Sam Houston ($5K)

Sam Houston loves to run the ball, so you definitely want their lead back. Ducker is that guy, even though up to four players will see carries. Ducker has scored four touchdowns in the last two games and has at least 14 touches in three straight games. He's another great bargain tonight.

Also consider: Ismail Mahdi, Texas State ($6.5K); Gerald Green, Troy ($4.7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Joey Hobert, Texas State ($6.9K)

Hobert is McCloud's favorite target. He has eight receptions in each of the last two games. He doesn't have a 100-yard game yet and I don't expect one against Troy. However, he's the only receiver on the slate who could flirt with double-digit receptions.

Devonte Ross, Troy ($5.4K)

Ross struggled a bit with Kilcrease as the quarterback, but given he has been working with Kilcrease in practice this week, I think Ross will be fine. This guy had 142 receiving yards against a strong Iowa defense. As long as a Troy passer can get him the ball, the sky is the limit for Ross.

Kam Thomas, UTEP ($4.6K)

Thomas isn't the deep threat that Kelly Akharaiyi was for the Miners last year, but he still sees a lot of targets. Thomas has at least five receptions in all four games this year. Don't expect a big play, but he has a 10-point floor. I'll take that in any lineup!

Also consider: Jaden Williams, Texas State($5.9K); Kenny Odom, UTEP ($4.9K); Ife Adeyi, Sam Houston ($3.7K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Texas State

The Bobcats have the most consistent fantasy producers on the slate. I love the idea of a McCloud/Williams/Hobert stack. You can add Ismail Mahdi if you want to get different.

Sam Houston

Hey, the Bearkats scored 40 points last week! Hunter Watson has been huge for this offense as has Northern Illinois and Memphis transfer Jay Ducker. John Gentry will also see carries. Qua'Vez Humphreys had a monster game against Hawaii but hasn't caught a pass in two weeks. That's more a reflection of a renewed emphasis on the run game, but Humphreys is a good large-field GPP play.

Also consider: Troy, UTEP
