DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (6/8/22): NBA DFS Lineups

Stephen Curry - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on June 8, 2022. John Brubaker provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers! The Finals are here, and we have a one-game showdown slate tonight. After the Warriors ran the Celtics off the floor of the Chase Center Sunday night in Game 2, the two teams will head to Boston for Game 3. The Warriors have three players on the injury report (Andre Iguodala, Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr.), while Boston has one (Robert Williams III). They're all likely to play, however, I'll do my best to come and make updates throughout the day if something changes.

With that said, though, I as well as the rest of the RotoBaller team have been working around the clock to get you the best bets, props, and lineups for tonight's game as well as the rest of the Finals.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/8/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineup lock at 9:00 pm EST. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings and FanDuel Captain/MVP - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Stephen Curry ($16,500 DraftKings, $15,500 FanDuel)

Though it's only been a two-game sample size, Steph has been the most consistent player, at least from a fantasy perspective, in this series. He's put up two solid performances, with 34/5/5 and 29/6/4 in Games One and Two, respectively, as well as logging three steals and two turnovers in each game. Metaphorically speaking, this is Steph's series. The Warriors are his team, his dynasty, and this series is an opportunity to add to what's already an incredible legacy.

Al Horford ($11,400 DraftKings; $13,000 FD)

I wrote up Al Horford two weeks ago during the Conference Finals, and while his price has gone up slightly since, he's been so consistent he's hard to fade at this point. He logged just two points in Game 2 on 1-4 shooting in 28 minutes, a massive dropoff from his 26-point performance in Game 1. He should bounce back tonight and the Celtics will need him to, especially since Robert Williams is still dealing with knee soreness. Since Timelord's knee started bothering him, he's played just 20.8 minutes per game, so it'll be imperative for Horford to be out there for long periods of time, and hopefully, he can fill the statsheet once again tonight.

Others to consider: Jayson Tatum, Jordan Poole

DraftKings and FanDuel Utility Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum ($10,800 DK; $15,500 FD)

As I mentioned with Curry, from a narrative perspective, this is a big series for Tatum. The young superstar will have plenty of opportunities down the road to add to his legacy, but this would be a huge stamp if the Celtics take home the trophy when it's all said and done. After logging just 12 points and 13 assists in Game 1, Tatum had 28 points in a great fantasy performance in Game 2. However, his -36 in Game 2 was the worst in Finals history, so it'll be important for Tatum and Boston to have an impressive showing tonight.

Andrew Wiggins ($7,200 DK; $12,000 FD)

After a solid Game 1, Wiggins had a rough Game 2, logging just 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists in the Warriors' rout of Boston. He's turned into an excellent third-ish(?) option for them, particularly on the glass, as he's averaging nearly seven rebounds per game as well as 15.8 points per game. While I will play Wiggins in some lineups tonight, I'll more than likely be opting for value guys tonight. More on that...

Others to consider: Draymond Green, Marcus Smart

DraftKings and FanDuel Value Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jordan Poole ($6,400 DK; $9,000 FD)

Poole played "frontrunner" in Sunday's win over the Celtics, logging 17 points, two rebounds, and three assists. He struggled in Game 1, shooting just 2-7 from the field, and 1-5 from beyond the arc. While I don't expect another blowout tonight, I feel like Poole has shown Steve Kerr that he can play in big moments, and once he gets hot, it's hard to get him off the floor. I think tonight will be that night for Poole, and I'll be opting for him as a value captain on DraftKings as well as giving him some exposure to the 'STAR' and 'PRO' positions on FanDuel.

Payton Pritchard ($3,800 DK; $7,000 FD)

I'm assuming Pritchard will be the "chalk" value option on tonight's slate, and deservedly so. He hasn't played a ton, logging just 16 and 19 minutes in the first two games. We can assume he has a floor projection between 8-10 fantasy points on either site, making him a solid cash option. However, you can always opt for a super cheap option like Andre Iguodala or Juan Toscano-Anderson if you want to cram in the studs.
