DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (6/7/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Nikola Jokic - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on June 7, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We're set for Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday, which tees up another single-game slate on both DK and FD. As customary, we'll examine some top plays for each multiplier spot on both sites, as well as viable utility/value plays. The top multiplier spot on DK is the Captain's slot, which accrues fantasy points at a 1.5x clip. On FD, it's the MVP spot, which accumulates fantasy points at a 2x rate.

FD also has STAR (1.5x) and PRO (1.2x) multiplier spots, which usually make for excellent landing spots for second-tier players.

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/7/23. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings (Captain- 1.5x) and FanDuel (MVP- 2x) - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic, DEN- ($22,800 DK Captain, $18,500 FD)

Jokic went off for 60.8 DK/55.2 FD points in Game 2 despite the Nuggets' uninspired play at times, producing a 41-point, 11-rebound double-double while shooting an elite 16-for-28 from the floor. The versatile big man is shooting 60.0 percent, including 42.9 percent from three-point range, over the first two games of the series.

With Denver now having dropped a game, there's certainly no reason to think he won't be just as aggressive on the road in Game 3. With a double-double nearly a lock and a triple-double always in play, Jokic is the clear-cut top choice for the highest multiplier spot on each site.

Jimmy Butler, MIA - ($18,000 DK Captain, $15,000 FD)

Butler has been far from efficient over the first two games of the series, going 13-for-33 from the floor. However, he's shooting 42.9 percent from three-point range -- albeit on just seven attempts -- and he's still averaged 38.2 DK/37.6 FD points in that span despite the struggles.

Now back on his home floor, Butler stands a good chance of righting his offensive ship and delivering a big return on investment in the top multiplier spot. This is especially considering he's averaged 24.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.8 steals at home since the start of the regular season. The Nuggets have surrendered 48.2 percent shooting on the road this postseason.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jamal Murray, DEN - ($17,100 DK Captain, $14,500 FD)

DraftKings Utility/ FanDuel STAR (1.5x) Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jamal Murray, DEN - ($11,400 DK, $14,500 FD)

Murray produced his second double-double in as many games to open the series in Game 2, tallying 42.5 DK/39.8 FD points across 39 minutes. The star guard has shot 48.6 percent in that span and has been proficient as both a scorer and facilitator with averages of 22.0 points and 10.0 assists per contest.

The Heat have been stingy at home defensively the majority of the postseason, but Murray's ceiling north of 60 fantasy points on each site makes him too enticing an option to roster anywhere below the 1.5x multiplier spot on FD.

Bam Adebayo, MIA - ($9,000 DK, $14,000 FD)

Adebayo has been the most consistent player on the Heat through the first two games, scoring over 40 points on either site while averaging 23.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks per contest.

The defensive matchup down low is easier for Adebayo than in prior postseason series against the Bucks' Brook Lopez, the Knicks' Mitchell Robinson, and the Celtics' Robert Williams III, as Nikola Jokic doesn't spend nearly as much time in the post as those players. Adebayo also has a solid mid-range jumper that he's used effectively against Denver thus far, making him a very viable selection.

Michael Porter Jr., DEN - ($7,400 DK, $10,500 FD)

Porter is a play that's going to take some risk tolerance after his abysmal start to the series, one that's seen him shoot just 29.2 percent, including 17.6 percent from three-point range. However, thanks to a 13-rebound effort in Game 1, he still accrued 38.3 DK/37.1 FD points in that contest.

The talented wing was much less productive in Game 2 (12.5 DK/11.2 FD points), but his talent and the fact he's proven much more efficient than he's demonstrated thus far make him a very viable GPP play in particular.

FanDuel Utility Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Aaron Gordon, DEN - ($6,200 DK, $11,000 FD)

Gordon has averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks while shooting 70.6 percent over the first two games of the series. The big man has been limited in his offensive involvement, but his steady rebounding presence and reasonable salaries keep him very much in play as a value option.

Gabe Vincent, MIA - ($5,600 DK, $10,000 FD)

Vincent has been impressive over the first two games of the series, shooting 57.7 percent, including 56.3 percent from behind the arc on his way to 21.0 points per contest. Vincent has averaged only 4.0 assists in that span, but his 13 shot attempts per contest, including eight per game from three-point range, combined with his efficiency has led to averages of over 30 fantasy points per game on both sites.

ALSO CONSIDER: Caleb Martin, MIA - ($6,600 DK, $9,500 FD)
