DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/9/23): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on April 9th, 2023. Kyle Ringstad provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

This is the last day of regular season in the NBA, which means most teams on the slate don't have anything important to play for. Identifying the teams that are playing to improve their seeding is a huge key because they are the ones who we can count on their starters and rotation players to play their usual allotment of minutes. Every team is in action today, so it's not like we'll have a shortage of options. We'll see a lot of funky scratches and abnormal starting lineups on this slate, so be ready to pivot on a dime and make sure you're on your computer and ready to make swaps with the news. Let's get to it.

Here is my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 4/9/23. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kris Dunn, vs. LAL (FD: $7,000, DK: $7,700)

Dunn has been pulling off his best Louis Armstrong impression for the Jazz recently, exploding for 58 DK points last night and 44.25 DK points in the previous game. He's more or less the "last man standing" for this squad, and as long as Markkanen, THT, Olynyk, and Clarkson continue to sit out, Dunn will be a solid candidate to crush 5x value on this slate. The Lakers allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season and the eighth-most fantasy points per game overall. This game should be a high-scoring affair, and Dunn's fingerprints should be all over it as long as we get the lineup situation from the last game.

Jalen Green, vs. WSH (DK: $7,700)

Green and the Rockets don't necessarily have anything to play for to finish the year, but that doesn't mean he can't keep playing nearly 40 minutes and producing for our DFS lineups. He needs 38.5 DK points to hit 5x value, and he has been at or over that number in four straight games. This current iteration of the Wizards can't defend anything - they're allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing teams over their last seven games.

Ranked Value Plays:

There are an unlimited number of value plays on this slate, so I will rank them according to my personal preferences here:

Tre Mann, Garrison Mathews, Ziaire Williams, David Duke Jr., John Konchar, Payton Pritchard, Julian Champagnie, Jared Butler, Aaron Holiday, Dru Smith, Lindy Waters, AJ Griffin, Jaden Springer, Daishen Nix, Kendrick Nunn, Theo Pinson, Blake Wesley

Also consider: Anthony Edwards, Shake Milton, Jordan Goodwin

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon Ingram, vs. MIN (FD: $9,800, DK: $10,600)

The Pelly's would love to win to secure as high as the #5 seed. If they lose, they will fall to the #9 seed. Can you think of any viable reason not to jam in Ingram against a Timberwolves team playing the second half of a back-to-back set today? Because I sure can't. The alpha in New Orleans had a letdown game last time out, but he has been putting up 50 and 60 DK point games on the regular lately, and we have to assume he'll get all the usage he can handle in a crucial regular-season finale.

Ranked Value Plays:

Kenneth Lofton Jr., David Roddy, Isaiah Todd, Dominick Barlow, Jalen Johnson, Bol Bol, Ousmane Dieng, Luka Samanic

Also consider: Trey Murphy III, Karl-Anthony Towns

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Karl-Anthony Towns, vs. NOP (FD: $8,300, DK: $7,800)

Towns needs 39 DK points to hit 5x value, and he has put up 48 and 48.5 DK points over his last two games. He's also playing on a Wolves team that needs to win against the Pelicans to improve their playoff seeding, which means we can bank on KAT and the squad to get their full allotment of minutes today. While Jonas Valanciunas is a rebounding machine and a tough matchup down low, we don't need to worry too much because the Pelicans allow the 11th-most fantasy points per game to centers.

Ranked Value Plays:

Meyers Leonard, Onyeka Okongwu, Olivier Sarr, Udoka Azubuike, Day'Ron Sharpe

Also consider: Rudy Gobert, Xavier Tillman
