DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/24/23): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on April 24, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome to our daily NBA DFS picks and recommendations for Monday's two-game playoff slate. The second round has already started to take very early shape following the weekend's action. We have a pair of critical Game 4 clashes on tap Monday night that will see the underdog in each series try to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

Naturally, the lineup-building process becomes much more challenging with the smaller player pool. We've still been able to identify attractive options at either end of the salary cap for each position.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Ja Morant, MEM at LAL (DK: $9,600, FD: $10,500) 

Morant went off for 78.8 DK/72.3 FD points in a memorable Game 3 performance that saw him accumulate 24 points in the fourth quarter alone, dispelling any concerns about his injured hand. The star guard is now averaging well over 50 fantasy points per contest against the Lakers in four meetings since the start of the regular season.

With the Grizzlies down 1-2 in the series, he should naturally play an outsized role once again versus a Los Angeles squad that's giving up the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (27.7).

D'Angelo Russell, LAL vs. MEM (DK: $5,800, FD: $6,300)

Russell's salaries are very eye-catching despite his 14-for-42 shooting over the first three games of the series. Russell has still managed to score over 30 fantasy points on either site in two of those contests. He's averaging over 30 fantasy points in six games against Memphis overall since the start of the regular season.

Russell should be a lock for double-digit shot attempts and 5-7 assists at a minimum based on his previous body of work in the series, making him a potentially rewarding value play.

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

LeBron James, LAL vs. MEM (DK: $10,200, FD: $10,700) 

James is averaging 24.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.3 steals across 36.3 minutes in the first three games of the series, putting up over 50 fantasy points on either site in two of those games.

The future Hall of Famer has taken 23 and 20 shot attempts in the last two contests as well. If he can improve his three-point shooting just a tad after going 4-for-20 from behind the arc thus far, he could overdeliver on his hefty salaries on Monday.

Duncan Robinson, MIA vs. MIL (DK: $4,000, FD: $3,800)

Robinson makes for an intriguing value option after producing over 20 fantasy points on either site in each of the last two games of the series following Tyler Herro's broken hand in Game 1. The sharpshooting wing shot an incandescent 70.6 percent, including 75.0 percent from three-point range, in Games 2 and 3.

At his salary, he's certainly a consideration for tournaments, especially when considering the Bucks are allowing an elevated 37.5 percent three-point shooting rate to two guards.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Davis, LAL vs. MEM (DK: $10,000, FD: $12,000)

Davis has scored over 60 fantasy points on either site in two of the first three games of the series, making his DK salary especially enticing. However, the big man is naturally an excellent play all the way around given his upside and the minuscule player pool at center.

AD is averaging just under 60 DK points per contest against Memphis overall in five games since the start of the regular season. Like James, there's no question he'll be set for a pivotal role once again in a critical Game 4.

Xavier Tillman Sr.,  MEM at LAL (DK: $5,700, FD: $5,700)

Tillman has been a revelation the last two games despite the tough matchup down low against Davis, producing 14.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks across 35.5 minutes.

The young big also put up 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks across one four-game starting stint down the stretch in the regular season. He certainly has the upside to deliver a handsome return on his modest salaries.
