DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/4/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Anthony Edwards - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 4th, 2023. Kyle Ringstad provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome to another glorious Saturday, RotoBallers. We have a typical Saturday slate on tap for tonight with five games, featuring a Wolves-Kings affair that figures to be a shootout and a Rockets-Spurs matchup in which we might see the least amount of defense ever played on an NBA court. Pricing on the stars feels pretty tight, and we don't have a ton of value on the board outside of the previously-mentioned Rockets-Spurs game, but that could all change in a moment's notice with the mystery scratches we've all come to know and love in today's NBA. Let's get to it.

Here is my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 3/4/23. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jalen Green, vs. SAS (FD: $7,200, DK: $6,200) DraftKings Preferred

Green has only played in two games in his return from injury, but he has been solid, with 30.5 and 31.75 DK points over 19 and 29 minutes, respectively. Playing 29 minutes last time out is the key here, as it shows that the coaching staff has faith in rolling him out there with his pre-injury workload. He hasn't shot the ball exceptionally well, but he has the most advantageous matchup a guard can ask for in the Spurs tonight. San Antonio allows the fourth-most fantasy points per game to point guards and the second-most fantasy points per game to shooting guards this season. They also allow the most fantasy points per game to opposing teams overall, rank last in defensive efficiency, and allow the highest field goal percentage to opponents from 15-19 feet and 20-24 feet. If there will ever be a time to get your shot right, it's against this squad.

Devonte' Graham, vs. HOU (FD: $5,100, DK: $4,500) If starting

Graham will be a popular play, but he's as close to a "can't miss" pick as we will find among the value options tonight. Devin Vassell remains out of the lineup, and while Tre Jones has returned, he's coming off the bench and figures to be on a minutes lineup for the next few games. That leaves Graham to fill the void in the starting lineup and play the 28-32+ minute role he has seen over the last four games. He hovered around 5x value over the first three games of that stretch, but he went 5-for-10 from deep and crushed value at 35 DK points on Thursday against the Pacers. The Rockets are an even better matchup than the Pacers, as they're allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing teams and the most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season. He's one of the top values on the board as long as he remains in the starting lineup.

Also consider: Tyrese Maxey, Caris LeVert, Tre Jones, Killian Hayes, James Harden, Mike Conley

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Tari Eason, vs. SAS (FD: $5,900, DK: $4,300) DraftKings Preferred

The dynamic rookie is still coming off the bench, but he has seen his minutes increase recently as he has played between 23 and 31 minutes over his last four games, exceeding 5x value on each occasion. He spiked for 37 DK points twice in that span, and it seems like he's earning more minutes with the way he has stepped up his game as of late. He's averaging 34.25 DK points over his last three games and needs 21.5 DK points to hit his salary-based expectations tonight. The Spurs' ineptitude on defense is explained in the Jalen Green blurb above. Still, another point in Eason's favor is that they're also allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing power forwards this season.

Anthony Edwards, vs. SAC (FD: $8,900, DK: $9,400)

The Kings hold the fifth-worst defensive rating in the NBA, both squads play at a top-10 pace, and the game has the highest implied total on the board by a full seven points. I love getting to pieces of both teams here and trying to work in game stacks, but Edwards is my top pick if I'm forced to single out one player. He has been held under 20 points for three straight games as he hasn't shot the ball well at all and continues to battle turnover issues, but he's going to find his shot sooner or later and have an explosive outing because that's what stars do. I don't see any reason he can't make that happen tonight against the forgiving Kings defense, a team he torched for 62.5 and 57.5 DK points in back-to-back contests to finish up the month of January.

Also consider: Domantas Sabonis, Jabari Smith Jr., Hamidou Diallo, Jaden McDaniels, Jeremy Sochan, Rodney McGruder, Keita Bates-Diop, Harrison Barnes, Kyle Anderson, Keegan Murray

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

James Wiseman, vs. CLE (DK: $4,900) DraftKings Only

Yes, Cleveland is one of the worst teams to target players against in DFS because they boast a top-three defense and play at the slowest pace in the league. However, the Pistons play at the 12th-fastest pace, and the Cavs' interior defense has fallen on hard times as of late. They're allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers over their last seven games, which is surprising for a team with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley healthy and playing big minutes in the paint. We can take advantage by rolling the dice on former #2 overall pick Wiseman, who has re-discovered some juice in Detroit after flaming out with the Warriors. He hasn't blown the doors off with his production over his first five games on the Pistons, but he put up 32.25 DK points in the starting lineup on 2/27 and remained in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game as well. As long as he sticks with the starters, he should play in the 27-30 minute range and have a great shot at hitting value at his affordable salary tonight.

Also consider: Charles Bassey, Evan Mobley, Joel Embiid, Zach Collins, Bam Adebayo
