DraftKings And FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/23/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 23, 2023. Mike Marteny gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

Our Thursday night brings us the same number of NBA games as NCAA games, and surprisingly, the NBA landscape looks pretty clear as of now. Of course, that almost never lasts up until tipoff, but let's enjoy it while we can. We know that Paul George and Zion will be out, but no one else has a questionable tag.

The number of games between contenders also increases the odds of plenty of wire-to-wire battles, and fortunately, we have plenty of appealing candidates to choose from at each position across the salary cap.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the respective main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/23/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - at LAC ($9,600 DK, $10,600 FD)

This feels like a discount on DK. SGA has averaged 50.8 DraftKings points per game in the three games against the Clippers this year and hasn't been under 44 fantasy points since the All-Star Break. The fact that he isn't even the highest-priced player on DraftKings is really nuts considering how SGA has done of late and against the Clippers this year in general. We all know Russ won't slow him down.

Jalen Brunson - at ORL ($7,800 DK, $9,000 FD)

There are some large price discrepancies on DK and FD tonight. It feels like an easier night to build on DK, which is rather unusual. Brunson has been the catalyst that the Knicks envisioned when they traded for him about a month ago. Only Boston and Sacramento have held him under 30 fantasy points since his arrival in the Big Apple. Orlando, even with their stable of guards, won't be able to hold him down either. He doesn't have the ceiling of SGA, but he's still a legit threat at 6x value on DK.

Caris LeVert - at BKN ($5,200 DK, $6,900 FD)

LeVert has been on a tear of late, putting up 155.75 DraftKings points over the last four games. What makes that more impressive is that the Cavs are at full strength amongst their guard corps, which has been a tough ask this year. As per usual, LeVert is doing this by stuffing the stat sheet. He has scored in double figures in six straight games, but it's the high number of peripheral stats – particularly steals – that make him a DFS darling.

ALSO CONSIDER: Donovan Mitchell ($8,400 DK, $9,700 FD); Markelle Fultz ($7,000 DK, $7,600 FD); Cole Anthony ($5,600 DK, $6,200 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon Ingram - vs. CHA ($9,000 DK, $8,700 FD)

Ingram has piled up 178.5 DraftKings points in four games since returning from an ankle injury. He is the volume scorer for the Pelicans and often the primary ballhandler as well with Jose Alvarado sidelined. That all adds up to a bunch of fantasy points for the best player on a Pelicans team that is torn between tanking for Victor or taking this team to the playoffs. They seem to be leaning toward playoffs as the Pelicans are just one game back of the play-in "tournament" right now.

Jalen Williams - at LAC ($6,700 DK, $7,500 FD)

Be careful which J. Williams you click on for the Thunder. Jaylin Williams is a promising prospect, but he still doesn't play that much. Jalen Williams is the one you want. Wiliams hasn't been under 29 DraftKings points in over a month! The Thunder are surging behind their young core of which Williams is now a part of. Expect another strong game out of Williams in this one with Paul George out for the Clippers.

Marcus Morris - vs OKC ($4,700 DK, $5,000 FD)

Morris often plays 30 minutes and puts up very little in the way of stats. That could change tonight with George out. He put up a modest 22.75 DraftKings points against the Magic last week when Kawhi rested, so there is reason to believe that he'll luck his way into enough peripherals to hit us value at this price tonight. Leonard will shoulder more of the scoring role. There should be some extra grunt work available for Morris tonight.

ALSO CONSIDER: Julius Randle ($9,100 DK, $10,300 FD); RJ Barrett ($6,000 DK, $6,400 FD); Royce O'Neale ($4,700 DK, $5,500 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jonas Valanciunas - vs. CHA  $7,100 DK, $8,000 FD)

The Hornets are one of the worst rebounding teams in the entire universe and Jonas averages nearly ten per game. In fact, he has double-digit rebounds in three straight games and in four out of the last five. Valanciunas has posted three dominant games in a row, averaging 45.8 DraftKings points per game in that span. Sure, they were against Houston and the Spurs, but statistically, Charlotte is worse against centers than both of them. Lock him in!

Jarrett Allen -  vs. CLE ($6,300 DK, $7,700 FD)

Think of every superlative you could possibly think of to describe a perfect matchup, then throw them all out the window because none will come close to describing this matchup for Allen, especially with his price on DK. Allen made his return from an eye injury on Monday and put up 36 DraftKings points in 35 minutes...and he's still this cheap...and he's got a revenge game against the Cavs. Allen is going to channel his inner Godzilla and this slate is Tokyo.

ALSO CONSIDER: Wendell Carter ($6,900 DK, $7,200 FD)
