DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/2/23): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 2, 2023. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

A palindromic date brings us four games in the Association tonight. We already know that NBA DFS is not for the faint of heart with all of the load management issues, but tonight seems particularly tough. Like so tough that wiping your ass with 24-grit sandpaper might sound more appealing. 13 players have already been ruled out and six more are questionable among the eight teams in action tonight. We all know that a few more will pop up on the report throughout the day, so I will try to serve as your minesweeper for this very interesting slate.

With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 3/2/23. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Bradley Beal - vs. TOR (FD: $9,400, DK: $8,000)

DK has been a little slower to come around, so I view this as more of a DK-only play when Haliburton is cheaper than Beal on FD. Come on now! Washington has literally no other threat on the perimeter than Beal unless you count Porzingis loafing around behind the arc. Monte Morris is out and Will Barton is gone, so Beal should be able to shoot until his arm falls off. He's the kind of guy that can break a slate when he gets the volume. That won't be an issue here.

Russell Westbrook - at GS (FD: $7,900, DK: $7,000)

This is the L.A. team that Westbrook should have gone to in the first place. He is thriving alongside PG13 and Kawhi so far, putting up 123.75 DraftKings points in three games. He has been efficient from the floor, active on the boards, and the facilitator that this offense needed. He's not going to break a slate with the Clippers at full strength, but he's not priced like he will either. Westbrook is a consistent threat for 6x value at this price, which is what we're looking for in any format.

Devonte' Graham - vs.IND (FD: $5,100, DK: $5,500)

The Spurs are being cautious with...well...everyone. Vassell is going to return tonight, but I'll be shocked if he plays more than 25 minutes. Tre Jones has played once in the last ten games. Branham left the last game with a hip injury, so why play him if you're Wembanyama-ing anyway? It's sanctioned tanking, so enjoy the value that Graham should provide. He's likely the only true point guard that will be on the court for the Spurs tonight.

Also consider: James Harden (FD: $10,300, DK $9,500); Donte DiVincenzo (FD: $6,500, DK $5,600); Bennedict Mathurin (FD: $5,200, DK: $4,800)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kristaps Porzingis - vs. TOR (FD: $9,100, DK: $8,900)

Again, the Wizards are going to need scoring and I see Porzingis having more success against the Raptors than Kuzma or Deni Avdija. This is mostly a GPP play since I don't really trust Porzingis in this matchup for cash games, but the ceiling is high enough to run him. There's a ton of value all over the place tonight and I'm intrigued by the idea of using both him and Embiid tonight.

Klay Thompson - vs. LAC (FD: $8,300, DK: $7,800)

The offense was running through Klay since Curry went down anyway, but what happens if Jordan Poole misses this game with Curry and Andrew Wiggins out? That's the show I'm here for. Yeah, the Warriors might get flushed by the Clippers, but Klay is going down shooting. Thompson has taken 63 shots over the last three games with Poole in the lineup. We might see 30 attempts from the field in this one!

Draymond Green - vs. LAC (FD: $7,400, DK: $6,300)

Love him or hate him, Draymond is one of the best defensive players in the league and he's going to see enough shots with the Warriors banged up to have his best shot at a triple-double in a while. The best part? He's not priced like it! Draymond has 18 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists, three blocks, and three steals in the two games since his return from a knee injury. Expect another strong all-around stat line from Draymond tonight.

Also consider: Kawhi Leonard (FD: $10,000, DK: $9,300), Scottie Barnes (FD: $7,800, DK: $7,200), Tobias Harris (FD: $6,000, DK $5,200)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Joel Embiid - at DAL (FD: $11,800, DK: $10,800)

Embiid has been playing through a bothersome foot for most of the season, so I think last night's outage was just to keep Embiid from having to play in a back-to-back. The big guy would rather feast on Dallas than tangle with Bam, and hey, I'm all for it! We have the value to plug him in tonight where it would have been more of a chore last night. Embiid has cleared 60 fantasy points in three of the last four games. Sign me up!

Myles Turner - at SA (FD: $8,600, DK: $7,400)

What in the name of the Flying Dutchman Rik Smits is going on here? Turner has always been a bully around the rim and strong on the boards, but he has scored 88 points in the last three games! That's well beyond his season average of 18 points per game. Turner returns to south Texas just down the interstate from where he terrorized the Big 12 in college. We could see another huge night from Turner. His matchups won't get any better than this!

Also consider: Zach Collins (FD: $6,800, DK: $6,400); Jakob Poeltl (DK ONLY $6,200); Kevon Looney (FD: $5,700, DK $5,400)
