DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/15/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 15, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We're set for a seven-game slate Wednesday night, and it's one that features narrow spreads across the board. There's also good news in the projected totals, with five games sporting totals of 234 points or more as of early Wednesday.

The injury report does have some big names on it, but there are also some possible returns on tap. In all, the player pool remains robust for both cash game and tournament lineup construction, and there are viable candidates across all price points.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the respective main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/15/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:30 pm ET. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Stephen Curry - PG, GSW at LAC ($10,500 DK, $9,800 FD)

Curry has shot 51.0 percent, including 50.0 percent from three-point range, over his first five games back from a lower leg injury, eclipsing 50 fantasy points on both sites on two occasions during that span. The long-range marksman has also enjoyed success in one prior game against the Clippers, producing 44.5 DK/41.7 FD points across 32 minutes back on November 23, and Los Angeles checks in allowing over 50 fantasy points per contest on either site to point guards in the last 15 games.

Zach LaVine - SG/SF, CHI vs. SAC ($8,600 DK, $8,500 FD)

LaVine has had a blistering hand over the last eight games, averaging 31.4 points on 58.1 percent shooting, including 50.0 percent from three-point range. The locked-in wing has eclipsed 40 DK points on six occasions and over 40 FD points in five instances during that sample, producing strong-to-excellent returns on his current salaries. The Kings make for ideal targets as well, allowing an NBA-high 26.3 offensive efficiency rating to two-guards, along with 48.5 percent shooting, including 40.2 percent from distance.

D'Angelo Russell - PG/SG, LAL at HOU ($7,700 DK, $8,200 FD)

Russell has been mostly stellar since his return to the Lakers, with the ankle issue that cost him six games. The veteran guard entered Tuesday's win over the Pelicans having averaged 30.5 points, 8.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds across 33 minutes in his first two games back from injury, shooting 63.9 percent, including 57.9 percent from distance. While he struggled a bit from the field versus New Orleans, a matchup against a Rockets team allowing an NBA-high 31.4 offensive efficiency rating to point guards, along with over 55 DK and over 54 FD points to the position in the last 15 games, could snap him right back into form, especially with Anthony Davis already announced as out due to rest.

ALSO CONSIDER: Kevin Porter Jr. - PG, HOU vs. LAL ($7,200 DK, $7,800 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kawhi Leonard - SF/PF, LAC vs. GSW ($9,000 DK, $9,900 FD)

Leonard has been outstanding in two previous games against the Warriors this season, averaging 46.5 DK/46.4 FD points while shooting an elite 69.0 percent, including 75.0 percent from three-point range. The future Hall of Famer is also shot 52.5 percent, including 44.3 percent from behind the arc, across 21 home games, and he's averaging over 50 fantasy points on either site in the last three games. Golden State has generally been tough against small forwards this season, but Leonard has already proven highly capable of beating the matchup and the Dubs are also conceding the second-highest three-point percentage on the road (40.7).

Jabari Smith Jr. - PF, HOU vs. LAL ($6,800 DK, $7,400 FD)

Smith is enjoying a standout rookie season and checks in on a particularly impressive three-game tear where he's averaged 24.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals while shooting 61.4 percent, including 62.5 percent from three-point range. The forward's prospects look encouraging going into Wednesday's matchup, as the Lakers have already announced Anthony Davis will sit out for rest and L.A. is still down LeBron James (foot) as well. The Lakers already check in ranked No. 19 in offensive efficiency rating surrendered to power forwards (26.3), as well as the second-most DK (50.5) and fourth-most FD (48.5) points per contest to the position in the last 15 games.

Josh Green - SF/SG, DAL at SAN ($5,700 DK, $6,000 FD)

Green has stepped up significantly in the last two games with numerous key absences littering the Mavericks roster, and he could be in a position to similarly produce Wednesday. Kyrie Irving (foot), Tim Hardaway Jr. (calf), and Christian Wood (foot) are all listed as questionable, while Luka Doncic (thigh) will remain out. Odds would seem to be in favor of at least some of those players sitting, giving Green a good opportunity to build on the 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 61.3 percent shooting he's mustered in the last pair of contests.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jaylen Brown - SF/SG, BOS at MIN ($9,100 DK, $9,200 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Vucevic - CHI vs. SAC ($8,200 DK, $8,800 FD)

Vucevic checks into Wednesday's contest on an impressive three-game heater where he's averaged 18.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 52.4 percent, including 46.2 percent from three-point range. The big man has a promising matchup against a Kings team that's given up 58.3 percent shooting to centers, along with over 55 fantasy points to the position in the last 30 games. Vucevic has averaged over 40 fantasy points per game on both sites at home as well, furthering his case.

Bam Adebayo -  MIA vs. MEM ($7,900 DK, $7,900 FD)

Adebayo takes on a Grizzlies team that's allowing the second-most DK (62.1) and FD (61.1) points per game to centers in the last 15 games. Memphis is also allowing the fourth-most rebounds per road game (54.3) and is tied for the sixth-most blocks per contest (5.4) surrendered in that split as well. Adebayo is averaging 40 DK points per home contest and should be able to frequently dominate down low against a frontcourt still missing Steven Adams (knee).

Zach Collins -  SAS vs. DAL ($6,500 DK, $7,000 FD)

Collins continued to thrive Tuesday against the Magic, generating 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and one steal. The 2017 first-round pick has been a hit in the starting role overall since Jakob Poeltl was traded to the Raptors, as he went into Tuesday averaging 14.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.2 steals across 11 games. Collins is stretching the floor very effectively as well with 39.5 percent three-point shooting in that span, and he just posted 36 DK/34.9 FD points against this same Mavericks squad on Feb. 23.

ALSO CONSIDER: Xavier Tillman Sr. - C, MEM at MIA ($5,600 DK, $5,800 FD)
