DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/13/23): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 13, 2023. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

This six-game slate is already loaded with Out and Questionable tags. The good news is that I can point you to some early values, but the uncertainty surrounding some of the higher-priced guards is going to keep us guessing until tipoff. The NBA wouldn't have it any other way, right? At least we know Luka Doncic, Ja Morant, and Tyrese Haliburton are all out.

With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 3/13/23. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Devin Booker - at GS (FD: $10,700, DK: $10,100)

If Kyrie Irving is in, I think we have to run him with Luka out. If not, I'm taking Booker over Stephen Curry. The Suns need everything that Booker has to offer with Kevin Durant out. Booker has at least 50 fantasy points in every March game. I might run him even if Kyrie plays...

Tyus Jones - at DAL (FD: $7,700, DK: $7,300)

This could be a golden spot for Jones since Luka and Morant are both out and Kyrie might not play either. That leaves Dallas with Tim Hardaway Jr. and some G-League guards. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it opens up the floor for Jones. Jones has 171.5 DraftKings points in the four games that Morant has been away from the team. He is still performing above what we expect for this price.

Andrew Nembhard - at DET (FD: $4,900, DK: $5,000)

Nembhard should play big minutes with Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, and T.J. McConnell sidelined. Nembhard has performed well when the Pacers are short a guard or three, which has happened much more than they would like this season. If you can't afford Nembhard, Chris Duarte should see a nice uptick in minutes as well.

Also consider: Trae Young (FD: $9,900, DK $9,400); Tyler Herro (FD: $7,600, DK $6,900); Kris Dunn (FD: $5,900, DK $5,500)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum - at HOU (FD: $11,000, DK: $10,900)

The blowout potential worried me some, but Tatum still played long enough to rack up 60 DraftKings points in the first game against Houston. If this game is a blowout, Tatum will be a huge reason why. I have to think that no matter what, he gets his. I might use Giannis if he's a go, but right now, Tatum feels like the right move if paying up at forward.

Tim Hardaway Jr. - vs. MEM (FD: $5,800, DK: $6,400)

Even if Kyrie is in there, the Mavs are still going to need Hardaway out there providing long-range assistance. THJ has at least 32 fantasy points in each of the last three games. I have a hate-hate-love-hate-love relationship with THJ. He has burned me more times than a black cat around the Fourth of July. Much like that pack of firecrackers, I keep going back...

Harrison Barnes - vs. MIL (FD: $5,400, DK: $5,000)

Barnes isn't much more than a scorer at this point in his career, but he's not priced like he needs to be either. Barnes is an efficient scorer and still provides some support on the glass. The inconsistency of Keegan Murray still makes Barnes relevant, but he's not going to win a slate for you anymore either.

Also consider: Anthony Edwards (FD: $19,000, DK: $9,200), Talen Horton-Tucker (FD: $6,800, DK: $7,000), Dillon Brooks (FD: $4,900, DK $5,200)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

James Wiseman - vs IND (FD: $6,700, DK: $6,000)

Wiseman was rescued from the Warriors' purgatory at the deadline and he has been a huge boost for Detroit and DFS players alike. Marvin Bagley III is out again, which should mean another start for Wiseman. He has at least 28 DraftKings points in three straight games. The return of rookie Jalen Duren has cut into his production a bit, but I'm not opposed to running both Pistons centers on DraftKings with Myles Turner out. We can punt center and get away with it tonight.

Isaiah Jackson - at DET (FD: $4,600, DK: $4,600)

Jackson is eligible at PF on FD, so that's an extra bonus. Jackson racked up 43.75 DraftKings points on Saturday against this same Detroit team in this same arena. Jalen Smith is a good piece to have tonight as well, but he is eligible at PF on both sides. See? You can run double center on FanDuel tonight and get away with it with Jackson at PF. I would also highly recommend it.

Also consider: Domantas Sabonis (FD: $10,000, DK: $9,800); Jalen Duren (FD: $5,600, DK $4,900)
