DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/2/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on February 2, 2023. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have our busiest Thursday of the season so far with seven games going on. Memphis and Golden State are on the tail end of back-to-back sets. I don't really see Memphis sitting players because of the injuries they have anyway, but keep a close eye on Curry, Klay, and Draymond tonight. Don't be surprised if any of them sit. That may open up some value for Moody or Kuminga though depending on who's out.

With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 2/2/23. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic - vs. NO (FD: $12,200, DK: $12,300)

Dallas has played the Pelicans twice already this year. Luka posted 68.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting and 66 in the second. Even though the Pelicans are struggling to win games with Zion out, they are still staying competitive, especially with Ingram back. So long as this game stays fairly close, which it should, Luka's floor is near 60. Try finding that anywhere else!

Jamal Murray - vs. GSW (FD: $8,100, DK: $7,700)

Murray has been scoring at an elite level lately, putting up at least 22 actual points in four straight games. The game before that, he notched a triple-double, so Murray has been putting up some big fantasy numbers for the last two weeks now. With the Warriors *maybe* resting players tonight, there's no reason to think that Murray won't continue his hot streak. Even if they don't, Denver has the firepower to hang around.

Gordon Hayward - at CHI (FD: $5,700, DK: $5,300)

It feels as though both sites have been slow to up the price on Hayward since his return. Hayward's minutes are about where they were before he went down and he has scored in double figures in each of the last four games, including 16 or more in each of the last three. One of those was against the Bulls a week ago.

Also consider: Jrue Holiday (FD: $7,700, DK $8,300); Terry Rozier (FD: $7,800, DK $7,300); Immanuel Quickley (FD: $5,700, DK: $5,400)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo - vs. LAC (FD: $11,900, DK: $11,900)

There isn't enough value (yet) to afford both Luka and Giannis tonight. Luka plays more minutes. Giannis is arguably more dominant. Luka gets triple-doubles. Giannis is an automatic double-double with a higher ceiling in rebounds and he has actually outscored Luka of late. There is no wrong answer. However, with Khris Middelton still having his minutes limited and Bobby Portis still out, Giannis might just have a higher ceiling, even in fewer minutes.

Jaren Jackson Jr. - at CLE (FD: $7,700, DK: $7,100)

Jackson has 11 blocks over the last two games alone! His minutes are up with Steven Adams out, and he is among the elite rim protectors in the league when he gets a chance. There's always a chance of foul trouble with Jackson, but with the atrocious +/- ratings of both Brandon Clarke and Santi Aldama, expect the Grizzlies to keep giving as many minutes to Jackson as fouls dictate they can. It doesn't hurt that he flirts with a double-double on top of his rim protection skills.

P.J. Washington - at CHI (FD: $6,100, DK: $6,100)

There is a lot of production open in Charlotte right now with Kelly Oubre out. Washington has soaked up a lot of that lately, putting up big games against both Miami and Milwaukee. Those weren't in blowout scenarios either. The Hornets beat Miami by five and lost to the Bucks by nine. Washington played 74 minutes total in those two games. We have seen these kinds of spurts from Washington before, so I'm nervous. He rarely sustains them. On the off chance that he does, I'm on board at this price.

Also consider: Julius Randle (FD: $9,300, DK: $10,000), DeMar DeRozan (FD: $8,500, DK: $8,700), Dorian Finney-Smith (FD: $5,300, DK $4,700)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Vucevic - vs. CHA (FD: $8,400, DK: $8,900)

It was one week ago tonight that Nikola Vucevic broke our hearts – and our lineups – in this exact same smash spot against Charlotte. So why am I going back? Vucevic spent the week as John Cusack's character Lloyd Dobler in Cameron Crowe's classic Say Anything, holding the boombox playing Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" outside of the window of Diane's (Ione Skye) house window trying to win her back. Vuce abused both Orlando and the Clippers this week to the tune of 108.25 DraftKings points. Alright, Vuce...I'll give you one more chance. You've earned it.

Xavier Tillman - at CLE (FD: $4,700, DK: $4,200)

Tillman has benefitted the most from the absence of Steven Adams in the Memphis rotation. He is basically Andre Drummond except he makes 65% of his free throws instead of 45%. Tillman piles up the rebounds, but is awkward at best on offense. He is a good passer out of the middle and even racked up four steals last night. I'm in for another swing at this price!

Also consider: Nikola Jokic (FD: $11,600, DK: $11,300); Myles Turner (FD: $7,600, DK: $7,300)
