DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/17/22): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on November 17, 2022. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! We have three games going on tonight and all of them are on the left coast. It's time for late-night tilt time in the NBA! All three games start at 10pm Eastern or later. Make sure you get in a nap after work unless you're an insomniac like me.

With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 11/17/22. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

De'Aaron Fox - vs. SA (FD: $9,600, DK: $9,000)

Fox had a pedestrian night on Tuesday, but that was because the Kings blew out the Nets. Fox only played half the game and still put up 14 points, nine assists, and four rebounds with a block and a steal. He continues to fill the stat sheet in every category and gets the rebuilding/tanking Spurs tonight. If this game stays close, Fox has the highest ceiling amongst the guards tonight.

Anfernee Simons - vs. BKN (FD: 7,500, DK: $7,300)

It's likely not even possible that the Nets can be as bad as they were on Tuesday, but that might be better for us anyway. A close game means more minutes for the stars. Simons was under 30 DraftKings points in two of the first five games but hasn't been under since. Simons is finding his role on this team and has basically turned into C.J. McCollum. That's not a bad thing. Simons and Dame work well together and both have good floors. I'm going with the cheaper Simons just in case the Nets get blasted again.

John Wall - vs. DET (FD: $6,000, DK: $5,700)

Every time I watch Wall, I curse the Houston franchise for robbing us of a year of watching him play. I just love his game and his attitude. Wall is a guy that just wants to win. He will do whatever is asked of him. It's no surprise that he has fit in well with the Clippers. The Clippers are still giving Wall scheduled rest and not pushing him too hard, but with the production he has in this price range, we're okay with that. Wall only has one game under 20 fantasy points this season. Of course, it was against Houston...

Also consider: Damian Lillard (FD: $9,000, DK: $10,000); Jaden Ivey (FD: $6,800, DK: $6,900); Killian Hayes (FD: $5,300, DK $5,000)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jerami Grant - vs. BKN (FD: $8,400, DK: $7,600)

Grant might be the best value on the entire slate. He has four straight games of more than 22 actual points and has cleared 42 fantasy points in three straight. Grant is doing all of this while still keeping up his strong peripheral stats. Is he the missing link for Portland? He certainly looks like it right now. We could see his production drop a little if Jusuf Nurkic is able to get closer to his normal allotment of minutes, but the price is still low enough to trust Grant on a small slate.

Marcus Morris - vs. DET (FD: $5,500, DK: $6,300)

Paul George just popped up on the injury report for the first time in a couple of weeks tonight, so we have to assume that this might be a little bit of load management. Morris has scored in double figures in all but one game this season. He's not going to handle the bulk of the scoring if George is out, but we should see the rebounds and assists get a nice boost. I prefer Morris more on FD, but if George is out, I would use him anywhere.

Harrison Barnes - vs. SA (FD: $5,500, DK: $4,900)

Now it's time for a DK special. Keegan Murray left with some discomfort in his back on Tuesday. If he misses the game, we could see Barnes get a little more run than usual. It's hard to know what to make of Barnes this year. In the span of the last ten days, he has been held scoreless and held without a rebound in one game. Do you know how hard that is to do when you play 28-35 minutes? The floor on Barnes is terrifying, but his other three games in that span have been bargains for his DK price. He's worth the risk in GPP formats, especially if Murray is out.

Also consider: Kevin Durant (FD: $11,500, DK: $11,600), Keldon Johnson (FD: $7,100, DK: $7,400), Terence Davis (FD: $4,300, DK: $4,300)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Domantas Sabonis - vs. SA (FD: $10,200, DK: $9,400)

Tuesday was the first time in the month of November (seven games) that Sabonis didn't hit 40 fantasy points. That was because he played just 28 minutes in the thrashing of the Nets and he only missed that threshold by a rebound. I'll forgive him. I like the price more on DK, and with the rest of the other players I want to pay for, I will be fading on FD with only one center on the roster. However, Sabonis has arguably the highest ceiling on the slate unless the Kings blow out the Spurs.

Also consider: Jakob Poeltl (FD: $7,800, DK: $7,200)
